    • A multiple focal length folding imaging device includes a first and second housing which are operably joined together for movement relative to one another so that the second housing is movable relative to the first housing between at least a first position and a second position. The first housing is formed to at least partially receive therein the second housing, such that when the second housing is in the first position, the second housing is at least partially received within the first housing. The second housing includes an exiting aperture for allowing exiting of at least one image recordable unit therefrom when in the second position, and when the second housing is in the first position, the exiting aperture is at least partially disposed within the first housing so that the at least one image recordable unit cannot exit from the exiting aperture. Furthermore, the imaging device includes a lens movement mechanism for transferring linear motion to rotational motion so that different lens systems can be readily moved into the optical path of the imaging device.

    • A single-use instant camera includes a main body, having the taking lens and the shutter mechanism. A film unit containing chamber is formed in the main body, and contains a plurality of instant film units stacked on one another. The containing chamber is opened toward a rear and has a front wall. An exposure aperture is formed in the front wall, and receives the image-recording portion of the film units, to provide the film units with exposure to light entered through the taking lens from an object to be photographed. A front cover is disposed in front of the main body to cover the main body. An advancing claw mechanism is disposed between the front cover and the main body, and advances an exposed one of the film units to be exited. A flash device is disposed between the front cover and the main body, and applies illuminating light to the object. A back lid is disposed behind the containing chamber, is engaged with the main body, and closes the containing chamber. A pressure plate is mounted on the back lid, and presses the film units toward the exposure aperture.

    • This invention involves a film cassette for resiliently holding a film unit for exposure. The cassette includes a forward wall, a rear wall, two side walls, a leading end wall and a trailing end wall all combined to form an enclosure for holding the film unit. An exposure opening in the forward wall allows exposure of the film unit and an egress opening in the leading end wall allows it to be discharged after exposure. A pick slot in the forward wall provides access to a pick to engage the film unit and advance it through the egress opening. A spring platen mounted within the chamber between the rear wall and the film unit biases the film unit against the forward wall in proper position for exposure through the exposure opening.

    • An image forming apparatus includes a finite length recirculating duplex path without a duplex tray and having an inverter. A receiving sheet is delayed in the inverter by a time which is variable in order to vary the recirculating path time. Preferably, the time is varied according to the length of receiving sheet used so that maximum usage can be made of the image forming apparatus. A preferred inverter includes entrance and exit nips and a stop at the end of a paper chute. The stop is positioned to receive the leading edge of a sheet fed into the chute and hold the sheet through a variable time delay. The stop is then moved toward the exit nip at the end of the time delay to begin to move the receiving sheet out of the inverter. The receiving position of the stop is variable to receive sheets of different intrack length.
