摘要： A sighting system comprising light-emitting rear sighting indicators in which a set of rear sighting indicators disposed on or near the hammer end of a firearm, and, optionally, a front sighting indicator that comprises a brightly colored dot or fiber-optic sighting indicator. The rear sighting indicators may comprise fiber-optic elements that channel light energy towards the user's eye. In use, when the user brings the firearm to a firing position, the user's eyes and mind are able to quickly acquire the light-emitting rear indicators and subconsciously aim the firearm at an intended target, or to point the firearm in a desired direction. Thus, the fast acquiring firearm sighting system enables a firearm to be quickly aimed and fired. The use of the fast acquiring firearm sighting system of the invention reduces the processing load on the user's eyes and brain and makes aiming the firearm intuitive and instant.

摘要： A firearm sight, optionally having a 45° offset mount, including a sight element selectively configurable in upright position and down positions, and a moveable plunger configurable in a locking mode in which a head of the plunger protrudes from it such that upon rotation of the sight element about a pivot axis, the head engages a plunger wall of the mount to arrest such rotation to thereby maintain the sight element substantially in the upright position, the plunger alternatively configurable in a free mode in which the head is retracted into the sight element so the head clears the plunger wall and the sight element can move to the down position. The mount can include an extension stop wall adjacent the head so the head cannot be deployed from the sight element to maintain it in the down position. The plunger can be actuated ambidextrously. 摘要： A rapid and adjustable sighting system for pistols includes front and rear spring clips, which may be easily and removably attached to the existing front and rear sights of virtually all conventional pistols. The front sight attachment includes a generally U-shaped spring metal clip, which may be secured to the front sight of a pistol by glue, soldering or pinning, for example. Pins with various sized and colored heads may be selectively mounted on the spring clip to provide the front sight. A second spring clip, also of U-shaped cross-sectional configuration, is similarly attached to the rear sight of a conventional pistol, and includes a central recess for receiving spring plastic rear sight inserts. The plastic rear sight inserts are generally circular, have an upper sector of about 60 degrees to 140 degrees removed from the top of the plastic insert sights, to provide an unobstructed view of the front sight and the target. Both the front and rear sights are readily interchangeable, with sights of different diameters and colors to provide optimum visual sighting under a variety of conditions.
