摘要： A valve cartridge (11) for a live insertion valve (10) for a pipe (102) is provided, the valve cartridge (11) comprising a valve member (14), wherein the valve cartridge (11) is configured such that, in use, the valve member (14) is moveable between an inactive state in which the valve member (14) permits a flow of fluid through a pipe (102), and an active state in which the valve member (14) blocks a flow of fluid through a pipe (102). The valve member (14) comprises a first seal (18) and a second seal (20), wherein the valve cartridge (11) is configured such that, in use, the first seal (18) is arranged to block a flow of fluid along said pipe (102) and the second seal (20) is arranged to block a flow of fluid in a direction transverse to said pipe (102) when the valve member (14) is in the active state. The second seal (20) is at least partially seated on the first seal (18) or vice versa. The valve cartridge (11) provides effective scaling of the pipe (102).

摘要： A closure element for a fluid end assembly that has two or more recessed grooves formed in its outer surface. The grooves are axially offset. A seal is placed in one and only one of the grooves. As wear occurs, the seal is relocated to one of the other grooves. Instead of a series of axially offset grooves in a single closure element, a kit may be formed from two or more otherwise identical closure elements, each with a single recessed groove at a different axial position. Another closure element has a series of ledge-like surfaces defining spaces within which a seal may be received. One outer surface surrounds one or more of the other surfaces. A seal is placed in one and only one of the spaces. As wear occurs, the seal is relocated to one of the other spaces.

摘要： A bi-directional valve with valve elements having compliant features biasing them together to maintain a sealing interface that defines a fluid communication barrier within the valve. Parting the valve elements from one another removes the sealing interface to allow fluid communication across the valve elements. The valve includes a side port and a choke member that selectively blocks fluid flow through the valve when moved adjacent the side port and selectively opens the valve to fluid communication when moved away from the side port. The choke member remains adjacent the side port until the valve elements are spaced a distance apart greater than that at which valve erosion or fluid cavitation occurs.

摘要： A metering valve for introducing media into a pressurized fluid includes media passaging having a media inlet for receiving media and a media outlet for dispensing media toward the pressurized fluid. The media passaging defines a flow path extending from the media inlet to the media outlet and is configured to permit flow of media along the flow path. A plunger, including a plunger head, is movable between a closed position in which the plunger head forms a seal to prevent flow of media through the media passaging and an open position in which the plunger head permits flow of media through the media passaging. The seal formed by the plunger head includes a first sealing interface and a second sealing interface downstream along the flow path of the first sealing interface.
