The turning characteristic defining unit (140) has, in a unit body (141), turning characteristic definers (160) to (163) defining turning characteristics of the rotor (130) and first definer communication paths (150) to (153) and second definer communication paths (154) to (156) causing the turning characteristic definers (160) to (163) and an outer surface of the unit body (141) to communicate with each other.

摘要： A rotary damper includes a housing and a rotor. The housing includes, inside a cylindrical surface, two plate-shaped fixed vanes. A fixed vane clearance portion is formed as such an inclined surface that both side walls of a tip end portion of the fixed vane extend inwardly in a thickness direction toward the tip end portion. The rotor includes, on an outer surface of a shaft body, two movable vanes. A movable vane clearance portion is formed as such an inclined surface that both side walls of the base side of the movable vane extend inwardly in the thickness direction toward the tip end portion. 摘要： A torque adjustment function-provided rotary damper capable of easily adjusting a torque without needing to use a tool, even in a case where a space cannot be secured on an end portion side of a casing. An adjustment lever is an operation member having an engagement portion and a knob portion. The engagement portion links with an adjuster by engaging with an adjustment end portion such that a cutout fits to a fitting portion. The knob portion extends to a guide portion along an axial direction of the casing in its outer periphery. The guide portion has a semi-ring shape which is partially cut out. The guide portion is rotatably disposed along an outer periphery of a shaft side cap that closes an end portion of the casing.
