摘要： A hole boring device includes a housing including a proximal end, an open distal end, and a bore extending longitudinally from the distal end to the proximal end. An inlet connectable to a pressurized water source is disposed on the proximal end of the housing. A spraying device in fluid communication with the inlet is disposed in the bore and is oriented towards the open distal end of the housing. The spraying device is configured discharge a stream of water passing therethrough so as to form a boring stream configured to bore a hole in a ground surface. In some embodiments, the spraying device is configured to rotatably discharge the pressurized stream of water. A depth collar disposed annularly about the housing defines the depth of the bored hole. A slot disposed along the housing allows debris from the boring process to exit the housing, leaving an empty bored hole.

The soil boring device includes an elongate tubular body portion; at least one fin member configured to loosen soil when the soil boring device is rotated by a user; at least one handle portion extending outwardly from the elongate tubular body portion; and a water connection subassembly coupled to the elongate tubular body portion. The soil boring device is configured to discharge water from the water outlet of the elongate tubular body portion so as to moisten soil adjacent to the soil boring device, thereby facilitating the forming of the hole in the ground by allowing the soil to be more easily loosened by the at least one fin member. The soil boring device may be provided in conjunction with a soil boring kit that may further include a vacuum collar and a vacuum wand.

摘要： A foot rest for a post-hole digger and post-hole diggers using the foot rest are disclosed. The foot rest includes two portions, one attached to each shaft of the post-hole digger. The two portions have structure that allows them to engage one another when the two shafts of the post-hole digger are vertical. The foot rest does not extend beyond the bore diameter of the post-hole digger. Thus, in order to keep the user's feet on the relatively short foot rest, the contact surface of the foot rest may be angled. In some embodiments, the foot rest may be symmetrical, so that either side may be used as the upper surface. A post-hole digger including the foot rests typically includes at least two foot rests, spaced from one another and facing different directions along the shafts of the tool.
