摘要： A mechanical extension ladder support stand that a worker can mount on an extension ladder. Perform work or repairs on interior walls or stairways safely. The device is installed and removed from the ladder, disassembled or repaired without need of tools, safely. The ladder stand is expandable to fit extension ladders of different widths and lengths, without use of tools. When set up to work on a wall, the ladder stand's support board will automatically pivots to match the angle at top of ladder to the wall's surface, without any tools or adjustment. The ladder stand will always rest a padded support board, safety on two or more of the walls vertically framing members. Without damaging or marring the walls. The ladder stand operates safely for the layman on the interior walls without need of any tools, only human hands.

摘要： A combination of two safety attachments for attaching to the stiles of a ladder that will improve the grip of a ladder against the surface it is in contact with during use.Each safety attachment incorporates an extended main body to support the components, a gliding channel section and a non-gliding channel section, each formed to accept a range of ladder stile sizes. The gliding channel section of each safety attachment is captured on, and can glide along, a screw threaded rod. Also captured on the screw threaded rod is a rotating thumb nut which is adjusted to position the gliding channel section so that both the gliding and non-gliding channel sections are in contact with the ladder stile to which the safety attachment is fitted. Each safety attachment incorporates a rocking section with a contact face that contacts the surface against which a ladder is placed during use and the rocking section enables full face contact of the safety attachment over a range of angles between a ladder and the surface against which it rests during use. Surfaces of the gliding channel section and the non-gliding channel section that contact the ladder, and the surface of the rocking section that is in contact with the surface against which the ladder is placed during use, incorporate a deformable material to improve grip.

The climbing support includes an elongate body that supports a plurality of steps, a strap, cable, or other flexible securing member that is wrapped around the tree, and a retractor for stowing the flexible securing member so that it is extendable and retractable from the support. The climbing support is thus substantially self-contained so that it does not require separate components for installation or use. Standoffs may be provided for stabilizing the support in a location spaced from the tree. Optionally, the climbing support's steps, standoffs, and elongate body are collapsible to compact configurations for stowage or transport.

The device may be permanently or removably mounted on the edge of the roof or structure where the ladder is normally positioned, to limit movement of the ladder horizontally, sideways, as well as vertically downward. The device includes an elongated primary support, a pair of legs extending from spaced apart locations of the primary support, the legs terminating in mounting feet. A plurality of restraining members extend from additional spaced apart locations of the primary support. The mounting feet are adapted to engage any of horizontal, vertical or angled surfaces associated with the elevated structure, such that a first sub-plurality of the restraining members are adapted to abut an underside of a selected rung to prevent downward movement of the ladder. A further sub-plurality of the restraining members are outwardly spaced from the first sub-plurality and adapted to limiting lateral displacement of the stanchion members in each of opposite directions.
