The fastener unit includes a spacer block, a grip element extending from the spacer block and configured to fit in and engage a groove of the board, and one or more board engagement elements extending from a portion of the spacer block. 摘要： A hanger for suspending a load from a metal decking is described. A first hanger includes a body having ends that may be placed between opposing metal decking grooves and a separate assembly placed through an aperture in the body and adapted to support a load. The hanger thus permits the load to move side-to-side in the hanger, thus lessening the impact of seismic events on the hanger. A second hanger attaches two bodies, each having ends that may be placed between opposing metal decking grooves and a separate assembly placed through an aperture in the body used to attach the bodies to a strut channel. An additional assembly attached to strut channel is adapted to support a load. A hanger and method are also presented for preventing damage to concrete-filled metal decking hangers resulting from a seismic event.

摘要： A fire blocking system for building panels includes a fireproof block held in place between two beams or studs on opposing fastener members. The fireproof block is preferably held adjacent a slab or other structure, and is preferably of the same thickness. Thus, fire and smoke is prevented from or at least delayed from passing from one side of the structure to the other through the building panel (e.g., from passing from one floor to the next). The fire blocking system reduces the use of fire proofing materials required for building panels, while simultaneously improving the fire blocking capabilities of the building panels to meet building codes for fire resistance.

An attachment member of the connector is assembled in a manner that allows forces to be transferred through a protrusion and aperture connection, which reduces the forces transferred through welded joints. 摘要： A deck framing device relates to a clamp-based system that can be safely implemented without risk of damaging rails, banisters, or other such existing mounting structures. A set of clamps allows the apparatus to mount securely and removably atop a deck, especially the railing of a deck. The clamps may be adjustable to accommodate for different widths of railings or supports. A vertical post extends upwards from around each of the clamps. These vertical posts are connected by horizontal beams that are optimized for the support of various items, including, but not limited to, curtains, ornamental lighting fixtures, blankets, and more.
