摘要： An apparatus and method are shown for installing a metal transition end on an open end of a length of plastic pipe having an outer diameter and an inner diameter by placing a stiffener sleeve within the inner diameter of the plastic pipe at a point which is circumscribed by the metal transition end. An actuating sleeve, carried on the draw rod, allows the stiffener sleeve to be installed in a desired location within the open plastic pipe end by using the draw rod to first position the stiffener sleeve in the desired location. The metal transition end is provided with an internal relief groove which accepts any excess plastic material forced past the stiffener sleeve during the installation process.

摘要： An apparatus includes a hydrant assembly 102 configured for use with a well casing 900, a pitless adapter 902, and a pump assembly 904. The hydrant assembly 102 includes a water spout assembly 104 configured to be positioned above the ground 906 and also above the well casing 900. A water pipe assembly 106 is configured to be in fluid communication with the pitless adapter 902, the pump assembly 904 and the water spout assembly 104. This is done in such a way that water flows from the pump assembly 904, past the pitless adapter 902 and toward the water spout assembly 104 once the pump assembly 904 is activated. A pipe-support assembly 108 is configured to be positioned relative to the well casing 900, the pitless adapter 902 and the pump assembly 904. The pipe-support assembly 108 is also configured to selectively spatially position and support, at least in part, the water pipe assembly 106 relative to the well casing 900, the pitless adapter 902 and the pump assembly 904 in such a way that the pipe-support assembly 108, in use, provides selective spatial positioning of the water pipe assembly 106 relative to site-installation conditions associated with the well casing 900, the pitless adapter 902 and the pump assembly 904, which are installed relative to the surface 905 of the ground 906.

摘要： A well casing security device and method. The security device includes a cover including a sidewall, a top, one or more stabilizers, and a means for attaching the cover to a well casing or to its concrete slab to render it vandal-resistant. A locking support ring is provided for attachment to either the well casing or to the concrete slab surrounding the casing. The locking support ring includes a ring body with a plurality of braces. Each of the braces includes an arm defining a slot between the arm and the ring body. The cover includes a plurality of brackets enabling rotational engagement cover with the locking support ring. Locking means are provided on the cover to lock the cover to the locking support ring. The locking means includes a key operated lock that is tamper resistant and insures that the well casing cannot be accessed easily by an intruder.

摘要： A liner for a horizontal well, the liner comprising a substantially hollow elongated body having a plurality of orifices in the liner body that each allow limited ingress of fluid into the liner body. Each orifice has a predetermined shape, size and spacing in the liner body. The shape, size and spacing of the orifices provide that pressure of fluid in an annular space located between the liner body and the horizontal well is substantially uniform along the horizontal well.
