摘要： A system for and method of stabilizing rail track structures using a load transfer apparatus is disclosed. The load transfer apparatus includes a vertical load transfer element and a top load transfer element, wherein the top load transfer element is used to transfer applied locomotive and rail car loads to the vertical load transfer element. In one embodiment, the top load transfer element includes helical flights. In another embodiment, the top load transfer element includes a flared top. In yet another embodiment, the top load transfer element includes a load transfer cap. In a further embodiment, the top load transfer element includes two or more support legs each with a top support attached thereto. The railroad stabilization system can comprise any one type or any combinations of types of the aforementioned load transfer apparatuses.

摘要： This is a new type of pile foundation for support of structures. It uses a new method of forming concrete around the steel rebar prior to installing the rebar. Concrete is molded in an undulating fashion to improve load transfer to the adjacent hole backfill. The backfill is densified in place and grouted to maintain the dense configuration. The grouting is injected into an unlined hole. If temporary casing is used during drilling, it is removed prior to grouting. The basic premises are that grouting the hole backfill to the surrounding soil provides a better load transfer at that interface. And, beyond a few inches past the steel rebar, grouted dense sand and gravel are adequate for the load at that point. Timing of the grouting is more flexible than typical ready-mix concrete delivery systems. This method also allows for real time testing of the pile capacity.

摘要： A grouting and pile forming device includes a compartment box and a double-spiral-tube structure. The double-spiral-tube structure includes an outer spiral tube and an inner spiral tube, which are nested and fixed together. A top part of the outer spiral tube and a top part of the inner spiral tube are hermetically connected. An inner space of the inner spiral tube forms a grouting cavity. A space between the outer spiral tube and the inner spiral tube forms a drainage and delivery cavity. A plurality of drainage and delivery holes are provided in a tube body of the outer spiral tube. A construction method for strengthening soft soil through the grouting and pile forming device includes the following steps: 1) operation preparation; 2) downward spiral penetration; 3) drainage consolidation; 4) chemical consolidation; 5) upward spiral lifting; and 6) repeated operation until all soil to be strengthened is treated.
