    • A wearable band includes a woven material having two or more stretch regions. The different stretch regions can be formed by varying the tension on subsets of the warp threads, the weft threads, or both the warp and weft threads. A system for producing the woven material can include two or more tension control devices operably connected to a processing device. Each tension control device is configured to adjust the amount of tension in a respective subset of threads (e.g., warp threads) in the woven material during a weaving operation. The processing device is configured to select thread tension patterns for the subsets of threads used during the weaving operation. Each thread tension pattern includes tension settings for the subsets of threads, where at least one tension setting in one thread tension pattern differs from the tension settings in the other tension patterns.

    • This invention concerns a weft thread clamp with two jaws (1), (2) that can be moved to an opened and closed position, with at least one jaw (1) being directly moveable to the closed position via fluid pressure. The moveable jaw is preferably (1) a moveable unit, preferably made of a light material or in a compact form, which is moveable as a complete unit under the influence of the fluid pressure. Such a weft thread clamp is more reliable and simpler, and has a quicker reaction speed than the known pneumatically controllable weft thread clamps. This invention also concerns a system for the presentation of weft threads to a weaving machine equipped with one or more such weft thread clamps, as well as a weaving machine equipped with such a presentation system.

    • The invention relates to a method for inserting weft yarn material, comprising an insertion system in a loom. According to the invention, for every insertion the insertion system (A) is supplied with a substantial part of the weft yarn required for the insertion in a loose and substantially tension-free manner so as to be intermittently pulled off. A tubular package of adjacent windings is produced from the weft yarn material on an inner mechanical support (S) by way of an at least substantially continuous winding process and is conveyed forward in withdrawal direction. For an insertion, a number of windings that corresponds at least approximately to the weft yarn section intended to be inserted is detached or set free from the support while maintaining its tubular configuration without yarn tension. The weft yarn material is withdrawn directly inwardly from the frontmost winding and then further along the tube axis (X).
