摘要： A tugboat for assisting a marine vessel to maneuver. The tugboat boat comprises an engine driving one or more propulsors with a controllable direction of thrust, a towing line for establishing a pulling connection between an assisted vessel and the tugboat, a first sensor arrangement configured for sensing the size and direction of the pulling force that the towing line exerts on the tugboat, a second sensor arrangement configured for sensing the orientation of the tugboat, a controller in receipt of a signal from the first sensor arrangement and in receipt of a signal from the second sensor arrangement. The controller is informed of the size and direction of thrust generated by the one or more propulsors, and the controller is configured to determine if a safety threshold is exceeded on the basis of: sensed size and direction of thrust, sensed size and direction of the pulling force, and sensed orientation of the tugboat.

Active ballast control system and location of the propulsive elements permits the vessel to travel in spar orientation by positioning the vector of propulsion to lie in the same horizontal plane as the transverse centre of drag of the vessel. A docking system permits safe connection of the vessel to offshore installations, including wind turbines of generic design.

摘要： Disclosed is a boat alarm system including a sensor that provides a sensor output in response to a predetermined change in its orientation, a timer for providing an alarm signal in response to a one-quarter to one second period of uninterrupted sensor output and a means for generating an alarm in response to the alarm signal. The detected change in orientation is produced by an uninterrupted list of the boat in any direction for the required one-quarter to one second period. Also provided is an auxiliary timer that prevents the generation of the alarm in response to changes in the sensor's orientation that occur at less than a predetermined rate. Finally, a limit mechanism insures the generation of an alarm when such a condition reaches an extent that threatens swamping of the boat.

摘要： The boat drain tube with an integral leak detector provides an audio and/or visual alarm to indicate the presence of a water leak within a drain of a boat. The boat drain tube includes a hollow, cylindrical tube having opposed first and second open ends, and first and second hollow, cylindrical electrodes rigidly mounted therein. The first and second hollow cylindrical electrodes are axially spaced apart from one another to define an electrically nonconductive gap therebetween. An alarm, an electrical power source, and the first and second hollow, cylindrical electrodes are connected in series to define a circuit open at the gap. The alarm may be an audio alarm, a visual alarm (such as lights, light emitting diodes or the like), or a combination of audio and visual alarms. When water enters the gap between the first and second hollow cylindrical electrodes, the circuit closes to activate the alarm.
