摘要： An oscillating roller system for a beverage can decorator is driven back and forth by a cam follower. A cam body having a cam is mounted to a frame of the inker system. Three oscillating cam roller assemblies are positioned about the cam body. Rotation of the cam oscillates the cam followers for each one of the oscillating rollers. Bearings of the oscillating roller assemblies includes an inlet gallery and outlet gallery for a closed loop lubrication system. The rollers are water cooled.

摘要： The machine comprises: a plurality of printing units each of which has a printing cylinder movable so as to allow adjustment of the position of the image printed by that cylinder in two perpendicular adjustment directions relative to the web of printing material; first manually-operated adjustment means arranged to allow a user to adjust manually the position of each printing cylinder; image acquisition means arranged to acquire images of register marks printed by the printing units along one or both sides of the web of material; and display means arranged to show, on an enlarged scale, the images acquired by the image acquisition means, so as to allow the user to detect any misalignments between the register marks and to properly adjust the position of one or more printing cylinders to clear said misalignments. The image acquisition means comprise a plurality of cameras each of which is arranged to frame.

摘要： A print registration system for a beverage can decorator includes an axial registration system and a circumferential registration system. Each registration system is independent and includes a slider that is translated by a motorized lead screw. Axial movement of the axial registration slider is transmitted to axial adjustment of the plate cylinder by a mechanical connection between the axial registration slider and the plate cylinder shaft. Translation of the circumferential registration slider is transmitted to a helical gear mounted to the plate cylinder shaft such that the plate cylinder shaft is rotated by the movement of the circumferential registration slider upon engagement of the helical driven gear with a stationary drive gear.

Calculations based on colour selective detection of printing marks are performed to identify adjustment parameters for the relative positions of the first and second cylinder pairs, and one or more of the relative positions are adjusted.

摘要： To adjust peripheral register of engraved cylinders, the positions of a respective angular register mark arranged on each cylinder is measured with respect to a zero reference, and an angular printing mark characteristic of the position of the engraving is associated with each cylinder. The data of the job to be run are stored. The respective angular displacements of the engraved cylinders are indexed with respect to a reference cylinder in accordance with the job. By determining the web length separating two printing points of two successive engraved cylinders, this length is divided by the peripheral length of the cylinder and the remaining amount of the division is used for determining the angular indexing. Each cylinder is then brought into its angular indexed position, is first disconnected from a common transmission, and then all the cylinders are simultaneously reconnected to the transmission.
