    • A riveting yoke assembly (11) comprises a yoke (30), a force applying mechanism (22) and a rivet forming device (34,36). The yoke has a first end (38), a second end (40), and a middle section (42) coupled between the first and second ends (38,40). An opening (44) is formed through the yoke between the first and second ends. The force applying mechanism (22) is coupled to the first end (38) of the yoke (30). The lower rivet forming device (36) is removably coupled to the second end (40) of the yoke. The lower rivet forming device (36) has a base end (46) attached to the second end (40) of the yoke (30) and a forming end (48) with a recess (50) to form rivets (17). The recess (50) has a concave, interior surface (52) having an annular step (54) positioned between a top edge (56) of the interior surface (52) and a bottom-most point (58) of the interior surface (52) in order to properly align the rivet (17).

    • An auxiliary device for boring dowel holes in boards which are to be doweled together comprising a flat plate provided with a handle and having a centrally located guiding hole for guiding a boring tool, such as a drill, through the plate. Vertically projecting pegs are provided on each side of the flat plate to diametrically oppose the boring hole at equal distances therefrom, each peg being at the same height. One side of the flat plate is provided with a longitudinal slit in alignment directed radially toward the centrally located guiding hole. The narrow side of the board is placed at the rear of the flat plate with the pegs projecting downwardly to move the board between the pegs whereby the centrally located guiding hole is aligned at the center of the board in order that a dowel hole may be bored at the desired first location. The inside width of the longitudinal slit generally equals that of the inside width of the guiding hole with the aligned slit and guiding hole in perpendicular relationship to the contacting edge of the board to provide precise positioning of the dowel in the center of the board.

    • A workpiece supporting doweling guide for use in combination with a radial arm saw having a drill bit operated by the saw motor. The guide includes a flat base overlying the saw platform at one side of the radial arm. An intermediate plate and a workpiece support plate overlie the base in superposed spaced relation. Tracks are interposed between the base and intermediate plate and between the workpiece support plate for reciprocating the intermediate and workpiece support plates as a unit toward and away from the drill bit and for lateral movement of the workpiece support plate relative to the intermediate plate. Adjustable stops between the respective plates limit movement of the intermediate and workpiece plates to predetermined dimensions.
