摘要： A controllable magnetic field-assisted finishing apparatus for an inner surface and a finishing method are provided. The apparatus includes a housing, ball screw mechanisms, a workpiece, a centering clamp, a connecting plate, a magnetic field generating device, a chuck clamp, a precise displacement platform and a base. The magnetic field generating device includes electromagnetic coils, coil connecting plates, a magnetic yoke, nuts, springs and bolts. The magnetic field generating device dynamically adjusts a distance from the magnetic yoke to the outer surface of the workpiece through the springs. The movement tracks of the magnetic finishing medium are controlled by the formed rotation of the magnetic field, the finishing action force dynamic-adjustment, the optimization of the machining form of the magnetic finishing medium in collaboration with the rotation of the chuck clamp and the feed movement of the precise displacement platform.

摘要： A method of masking a component includes installing a flexible gasket over a portion of a component masking area leaving an unmasked area exposed. A backer is installed over the flexible gasket to compress the flexible gasket between the backer and the portion. The flexible gasket and the backer are secured to the component to provide an assembly. The assembly is deposited into a slurry with an abrasive media to polish the unmasked area, in one example. The flexible gasket and backer prevent abrasive media from reaching the masked area. The flexible gasket and backer can be removed from the component and reused on other similarly shaped components.

Tire retread strips are placed side-by-side on the radially inner surface of the drum and extend along its length. The clamps are bolted to the drum between adjacent strips thereby securing the strips to the radially inner surface of the drum.

For improved treatment of even chemically complex working liquids, the inside of the container is subdivided by partition walls into a plurality of chambers arranged one downstream of the other in the direction of flow. Connections are associated with the first two chambers arranged downstream of the feed channel within the initial region of the flow. The connections serve to introduce flocculation preparation chemicals, while a final connection is provided for the addition of the flocculating agent.

摘要： A vibratory finishing machine includes a supporting frame, a processing tub, and a tub vibrating mechanism interposed between the frame and the tub. Workpieces and finishing media are introduced into the tub for processing, are vibrated to effect a finishing action, and are discharged from the tub through a discharge opening. The discharge opening is selectively opened and closed by a door structure which is not mounted on the tub for vibratory movement therewith as is conventional, but which is, instead, supported independently of the tub so that the tub vibrates relative to the door during finishing operations. The door is biased toward its closed position and is provided with a power-operated mechanism for moving it toward its open position. In the event of power failure, the biased door will move toward its closed position to prevent workpieces and finishing media from emptying from the tub.
