摘要： A machining center processes a section not to be corrected of a workpiece and a crankshaft bearing hole in a different position from the section not to be corrected and which is separated from an upper deck surface of the workpiece. The machining center supplies a coolant to the hole during processing and detects a temperature of the coolant. A control apparatus estimates the temperature of the coolant when a predetermined time elapses from a start of the processing to be a temperature of the workpiece, calculates a deformation amount of the workpiece due to thermal expansion, corrects a position of the hole with respect to the upper deck surface based on the deformation amount, and starts processing of the hole after the predetermined time. The predetermined time ends when a difference between a temperature near the hole and the temperature of the coolant falls within a predetermined range.

摘要： Various embodiments relate to compensating for a deviation in an operating point of a manipulator during the processing of a workpiece. A command sequence is processed for controlling the manipulator, and a piece of setpoint position information is generated. The operating point is set based on the setpoint position information. The setpoint position information is processed using a compensation parameter set for ascertaining a compensation value. The setpoint position information is adjusted according to the compensation value for compensating for a deviation between an actual position of the operating point and the setpoint position. The actual position is measured during the processing of the workpiece. A correction value is ascertained, based on a comparison between the measured actual position and the setpoint position. The compensation parameter set is adjusted during the processing of the workpiece for reducing the deviation based on the correction value.

摘要： A rotary knife incorporates the use of an electronically controlled, tuned mass active damping system to control vibrations of the knife cylinder. The system preferably uses one or more electromagnetic actuators to provide force on a tuned mass which is mechanically coupled to the knife cylinder. Vibration sensors, preferably accelerometers, are used to monitor vibrations of the respective knife cylinders and tuned masses. A digital signal processor implementing a state space control system controls the electromagnetic actuators to remove vibration energy from the system. An active damping system in accordance with the invention is more effective in removing vibration energy than passive systems, especially in heavy-duty applications.
