摘要： A dual-chambered molten metal holding furnace is for low pressure casting; producing cast products such as aluminum alloys using a low pressure casting method; and prevention of the gas release to the molten metal and the occurrence of air bubbles in the molten metal even when pressurized gas enters a material constituting the molten metal storage container. The part of a pressurizing chamber excluding a pressurizing pipe and a molten metal output pipe is opened to the atmosphere via an air passage gap positioned above a fixed molten metal surface level position L3. The air passage gap is positioned above the fixed molten metal surface level position L3. Even if pressurized gas is seeped into the material constituting a molten metal storage container via cracks or cracking subsequently occurred in the pressurizing pipe or minute gap originally present in the pressurizing pipe, the pressurized gas seeped from the air passage gap is released to the outside of the furnace.

摘要： A low-flexure molten metal distribution launder comprises an elongated structural beam which extends over a plurality of casting stations. A plurality of metal level sensors extend downward from the elongated structural beam to measure molten metal levels in underlying metal casting stations. A plurality of spaced U-shaped refractory hangers are supported within the structural beam to form a refractory channel. Refractory liners are received within the refractory hangers to form a molten metal trough within the structural beam. The hangers are spaced from each other and supported from the structural beam in such a way as to allow them to expand and contract relative to the structural beam without subjecting the structural beam to expansion and contraction. The walls of the refractory hangers are air-cooled to reduce heat transfer from the refractory hangers to the structural beam.

摘要： A clean metal ingot mold comprises an ingot mold body and an insulating riser arranged on the ingot mold body. The bottom mold plate of the ingot mold is provided with at least a ridge connected thereto. The region having a V-shape containing impurities produced during the crystallization process of the liquid metal moves upwards because of the ridge, and then the impurities depart from the center of the cast ingot and the impurities are more centralized. A water-cooling device is arranged in the ridge to allow the temperature of the metal in the ingot mold to decrease rapidly, and the crystallization process of the metal to be rapid.

Refractory is provided on each side of the L-shaped member and forms the tap-hole on the interior within the channel thus formed. Alternative shapes for the cooling member are disclosed.
