摘要： In an apparatus for rolling the walls of a tube in order to decrease the wall thickness and so increase the length of the tube by the use of pairs of rolls of which one roll is outside the tube wall and the other roll is inside it and in which relative axial motion and relative rotation takes place between the tube and the roll pairs, an increase in the possible length of tube which may be rolled is produced by having all the rollers carried on means extending from a common support structure on which a holder for one end of the tube is also carried.

摘要： A plate workpiece processing tool includes a first tool portion and a second tool portion. The first and second tool portions are arranged along an application axis in spaced relation to each other such that a plate workpiece can be disposed therebetween. The tool also includes two or more processing devices that are carried by the first tool portion, and one or more counter-devices that are carried by the second tool portion. The processing devices are rotatable, relative to the first tool portion, about a first rotational axis that extends perpendicular to the application axis and are arranged to follow each other along an axis extending perpendicularly to the application axis. The processing devices and the one or more counter-devices are selectively alignable to form a plurality of alternative device pairings for processing plate workpieces therebetween.

摘要： Disclosed is a device and method for forming a curl in a closable container. A process of forming a pre-curl is used, which is followed by a second separate step of forming the completed curl. The two-step process provides for higher tolerances with respect to the shape of the curl that allows the curl to be used as a sealing surface for a recloseable metal bottle. A three-step process provides for even greater tolerances and reduces longitudinal forces by completing the curl using lateral forces.
