摘要： The invention relates to a sporting device (1), in particular a touring ski assembly. The sporting device (1) comprises a sliding body (2) on which a bottom side (3) is designed as a sliding surface (4). Furthermore, the sporting device (1) comprises a binding apparatus (6) disposed on the top face (5) of the sliding body (2) for fastening to a sporting shoe (7) of a user (8) in such a way that the fastening can be released as and when necessary, a circulating belt (13) having a first segment (14) for establishing a relative motion between the sliding body (2) and the ground (12) and a second, returning segment (15), as well as a drive apparatus (17) and at least one first deflecting apparatus (18) for the belt (13). The first segment (14) is disposed next to the bottom side (3) of the sliding body (2) and the second, returning segment (15) is disposed next to the top face (5) of the sliding body (2). At least the majority of the length (9) of the sliding body (2) is surrounded by the circulating, intrinsically closed belt (13). By means of this design, a user can be supported with regard to his advancing movement, in particular the overcoming of ascents and mountain routes can thereby be made easier, such that the body force or performance capacity to be applied by the user can be lower.

摘要： A footgear suspension device for a skate utilizing wheels or another surface contacting means such as skis or shoe soles mounted on swingarms. Movable swingarms may range in size, shape, composition, or length. The footgear suspension device chassis may consist of pivots, swingarms, linkage pieces and energy absorbing devices. Pivots may allow swingarms to rotate or swing. Energy absorbing devices may be hydraulic or spring loaded or other means and may dampen swingarm motion. Some embodiments of the footgear suspension device may contain a surface contacting means integral with the footgear suspension device. Other embodiments may contain a footgear suspension device built directly into the user's footwear, and some embodiments of the footgear suspension device may utilize adjustable and releasable boot bindings. The footgear suspension device may be an integral piece of a ski or skate or bindings and may also integrally contain energy absorbing devices. The footgear suspension device may be used where a human being may require or benefit from the mechanical advantage provided by the footgear suspension device. The footgear suspension device offers advantages in many places where all of today's existing skates and similar foot gear are lacking. For instance, stability, control, traction, and mechanical advantage may be provided by the footgear suspension device. An object of this invention is to provide a well balanced responsive foot suspension system that allows the body it carries to maneuver more freely, gracefully, powerfully, aerodynamically, quickly, and perfectly over many terrains and surfaces than is possible without the mechanical advantage provided by the footgear suspension device.

摘要： There is disclosed a twin-wheeled skate which, by its construction, is particularly adaptable for use on sloping and uneven grounds. For this purpose, it is made up of a foot-rest base plate and of a front and of a rear wheel mounted for free rotation each at one end of the base plate and about rotation axes that lie above the plate, at least the front wheel being mounted for oscillation about an axis that lies forwardly with respect to the base plate. The oscillating axis intersects the general plane of the base plate whereby the front wheel may oscillate laterally with respect to the foot-rest base plate. The oscillation is produced by means of a U-shaped bracket having the ends of the branches secured to the base plate, the front wheel being mounted for rotation at the ends of a fork-like support lying within the bracket and mounted, at its tip, on the tip of the U-shaped bracket for rocking motion about the oscillation axis. The front wheel itself is mounted for free rotation at the ends of the fork-like support.

摘要： A tracked skate runner provides a low-profile substitute for a wheel with exceptionally low rolling resistance on rough or soft terrain. The runner includes a skate frame and rollers that bear against an endless track of hinged links devoid of pinch points that can get jammed with ground debris. The skate frame provides a channel with sidewalls and a top dirt shield. The sidewalls fit closely with the links of the track to seal out dirt, and the top dirt shield protects the rollers from dirt that shakes off the top recirculating portion of the track.
