摘要： A watering cup for fowl and animals has a telescopic valved and sealed fit of a normally closed valved tubular part of a cup housing within a normally closed valved depending tubular outlet of a water supply line and a hook interlock of said telescoping parts. A cup pivoted in the cup housing below the valved tubular cup part has a projection for opening the valve of the tubular cup housing part and a spring controlled by adjustable tensioning means urges said cup and its projection toward valve opening position when less than a selected quantity of water is contained in the cup.

摘要： A water valve and an animal waterer incorporating that valve. A water inlet pipe terminates in an upwardly extending outlet, and a closure mechanism is resiliently supported above the outlet and in turn supports a water retainer. When water is in the retainer to the desired level, the closure mechanism is held against the water outlet, cutting off the flow of water. When the water is below the desired level, the resiliently supported closure mechanism lifts, permitting water to flow from the inlet pipe to the retainer until the desired level is again reached.

摘要： An automatic waterer which utilizes a self closing valve which is vertically installed and in which spring and hydraulic pressure work to seat the valve and in which a pivoted beam which utilizes a weight of substantial mass at one end and which carries a drinking bowl on the other end is provided. As animals drink from the bowl the mass overcomes the weight of the liquid in the bowl and lowers the beam on the valve actuator so as to replenish the liquid supply in the bowl thus rebalancing the beam and allowing the valve actuator to return to the closed position.

摘要： A suspension-type poultry drinking fountain comprises a water trough, a valve, a freely swinging hanger supporting the trough in freely swinging suspension, a resilient mounting suspending a trough from the hanger such that when the water in the trough drops below a predetermined quantity the trough rises and opens the valve to permit more water to flow to the trough, and a mounting for supporting a weight, the weight mounting being attached directly to the hanger independently of the resilient mounting, whereby the weight minimizes swinging of the hanger and trough but does not affect the sensitivity of the resilient mounting of the trough for operating the valve.
