    • A loader linkage having a bucket and boom arm mounted to the loader vehicle by way of top and bottom links, the top link being pivotally coupled with a structural member of the vehicle that extends upwardly from the vehicle frame generally at the rear of or behind the operator station. The top link is coupled to the structural member at a point generally above and behind the operator seated on the vehicle. The linkage establishes a bucket path that extends generally vertically initially and that then extends forwardly through the entire range of upper motion of the bucket. The linkage causes the bucket to achieve maximum reach at the bucket's maximum height. The orientation of the top link also reduces the vehicles tendency to tilt rearwardly onto the rear wheel's during leveling operations.

    • A mechanism for suspending an implement from a vehicle, such as a lawn and garden tractor. The mechanism includes front and rear supports between the vehicle and implement, the supports being adapted for quick and easy connection. The rear supports include spring-loaded J-pins connectable with the tractor lift linkage. The front support includes a U-shaped member, the base of which is receivable in upwardly opening jaws carried on the implement. The sides of the U-shaped member serve as draft links and are adjustably coupled with a cross member that is receivable in similar jaws carried by the tractor. A latch handle is connected to a bell crank which is provided on the cross member for tensioning the draft links and securing them in their tensioned configuration.

    • An agricultural tool bar comprising a wheeled center frame having a first wing frame pivotally connected about a horizontal axis to one end thereof and a second wing frame pivotally connected about a horizontal axis to the other end thereof. The center frame comprises a pair of longitudinally extending and spaced apart frame members having rearward and forward ends. A tongue tube is rotatably secured to the first and second frame members at the forward ends thereof and has a forwardly extending tongue secured thereto for connection to the prime mover such as a tractor or the like. An axle tube is rotatably secured to the rearward ends of the first and second frame members and has rearwardly extending wheel arms secured thereto adjacent the outer ends thereof. A transport wheel is rotatably secured to each of the wheel arms. A bell-crank means is rotatably mounted on the center frame and comprises an actuator plate having opposite ends which are pivotally connected to actuator arms extending therefrom. The outer ends of the actuator arms are operatively connected to the wing frames by means of a ''''float'''' connector so that rotation of the actuator plate will cause the wing frames to pivot relatively to the center frame. A length adjustable link arm is operatively pivotally secured at its rearward end to the actuator plate and is pivotally secured at its forward end to the tongue tube so that rotation of the actuator plate causes the tongue tube to rotate relatively to the center frame to raise or lower the forward end of the center frame. A link arm also pivotally connects the actuator plate with the axle tube so that rotation of the actuator plate causes the axle tube to rotate relative to the center frame to raise or lower the same. A hydraulic cylinder means is connected to the actuator plate for selectively rotating the actuator plate. The relationship of the tongue tube, axle tube, bell-crank apparatus and float connectors is such that the center frame means is initially raised relatively to the ground with the wing frames then being raised and pivoted upwardly to a transport position.

    • A coupling mechanism for connecting a working unit to a tractor body is disclosed which includes an engaging device and receiver brackets for coupling the working unit which is suspended from a lawn tractor body to links extending from the tractor body. The engaging device includes a first rod extending transversely from the links, a second cross rod spaced and parallel to the first cross rod, and a connecting device interconnecting the cross rods. Each receiver bracket includes a receiving groove for simultaneously receiving part of the first and second cross rods therein. The receiving groove includes a first groove portion having a length corresponding to a distance between the two cross rods, a second groove portion extending from the first groove portion in a direction substantially perpendicular thereto, and an opening to the exterior of the bracket. With this construction, the engaging device is not readily separable from the receiver brackets when the lawn tractor moves forward or backward. For disengagement, the second cross rod is slid through the second groove portion and out of each receiver bracket, then the first cross rod is slipped through the first and second groove portions and out of the receiver bracket.

    • A grader blade unit is provided for ready attachment to small tractors in place of an underslung mower deck. A grader blade is attached to a turntable for pivotable adjustment to selected angular settings. An extensible draw bar affixed to the turntable has a front mounting yoke at its forward end. A rear mounting yoke is affixed to the turntable. The front and rear mounting yokes are adjustable in width and the drawbar is adjustable in length so as to accommodate the mounting links of different tractors. Wing sections hingedly connected to the opposite ends of the central blade are adjustable to selected angular positions relative to the central blade. Foot stirrups are removably affixed to the blade for controlling the slope of the blade in use.
