    • A surgical imaging system includes spaced-apart first and second x-ray sources mounted above a patient support surface. An x-ray detector mounted below the patient support surface generates first x-ray images based upon x-rays from the first x-ray source and second x-ray images based upon x-rays from the second x-ray source. These first and second x-ray images are used to generate a stereofluoroscopic image via a stereo display for a surgeon performing image-guided surgery. The stereofluoroscopic imaging system may be used in conjunction with robotic surgery. A surgical robot operatively controls a surgical tool in an area between the first x-ray source and the x-ray detector, and between the second x-ray source and the x-ray detector. The system may optionally include a first video camera mounted proximate the first x-ray source and a second video camera mounted proximate the second x-ray source. The stereo display selectively displays the first and second video images or the first and second x-ray image, and dissolves between the sources to correlate an outer view with the fluoroscopic view.

    • This invention is a photographic film proposed to facilitate a cutting operation of the photographic film by accurately cutting a longitudinal central position of perforations and to facilitate an editing operation of cut stereo photographs, and has a constitution which has perforations provided along the vicinities of both upper and lower side edges of the photographic film, cutting marks described as latent images by preexposure at a longitudinal center of a periphery of each perforation. Further, frame numbers for a stereo photograph are described as latent images by preexposure at a lower edge of each photographic picture plane of the film.

    • Lenticular x-ray film having a parallax grating mask near the lenticulations of the film and a high resolution intensifying screen near the emulsion side of the film. The film, the mask and the screen form a unit for placement in a cassette for use with an x-ray tomograph to produce x-ray photographs which can be viewed in three-dimension. The mask has a substrate transparent to x-rays and is provided with spaced recesses for receiving mercury, tungsten or other flowable material which is opaque to x-rays. The spaces between the recesses present gaps for the passage of x-ray beams and the gaps are shaped so that the spread of the x-ray beams striking the emulsion of the film is the same width as each lenticulation. Each groove has a certain height so that the material in the grooves is sufficiently opaque to the x-ray beams in the range of about 30 KVA to about 150 KVA. The intensifying screen is of a ceramic sheet material having an end face provided with a plurality of holes therein which are filled with a phosphor material. The phosphor material in the holes present flat end faces which are placed in abuttment with the emulsion of the film to present local point sources of visible light which are excited when x-rays, which pass through the film and the emulsion, strike the phosphor material. The lenticulations on the film permit the image on the emulsion to be viewed in three-dimension.

    • The present invention relates to a photographic print and process of making the same wherein the print presents highlights by a build-up of high reflective, e.g. specularly reflective, metal in the highlighted areas which would otherwise print as blank or very light-toned areas of exposed paper or film. The gradient areas are preferably defined by spaced, specularly reflective areas optionally interspersed with conventional deposit of particulate silver. The method of fabricating such article includes an initially conventional development step, followed by a second development step wherein the silver halide areas remaining after the first development step are converted into increments of specularly reflective silver. An etching step may be interposed between the conventional development step and the development step leading to the creation of specular areas.
