摘要： The disclosed apparatus is disposed in the "U"-section deflector at the bottom end of flues connected to each other in a multiple-flue, vertical flue furnace. A deflecting plate and two associated projections, one on the plate and the other on the wall, influence the flow of gases in such a manner that first the radius of curvature of the gas making the turn is decreased, and second the distribution of flow at the input cross-section of the flow-receiving flue is more uniform. The first effect improves the effectiveness of fly ash removal from the turning gas stream. The second effect prevents localized sooting and uneven heating of a heat exchanger which may be installed in the end of the receiving flue.

摘要： An apparatus for incinerating radioactive wastes includes a furnace which has air inlet conduits and a flue gas outlet conduit and air heaters as well as blowers connected to the air inlets for forcing hot air into the furnace. The apparatus further has a feeding device connected to the charging end of the furnace for introducing liquid or solid wastes thereinto and a device which communicates with the discharge end of the furnace for removing solid reaction products from the furnace. In the flue gas conduit there is connected a plurality of flue gas filters each containing filter candles, a flue gas chamber and a mechanism for removing ashes from the flue gas chamber. The apparatus also includes a mixer section connected with the outlet of each flue gas filter and having a mechanism for mixing cool air with the flue gas filtered by the flue gas filters. Gas blowers connected to the output of the mixer section draw the gas from the apparatus.

摘要： A process for afterburning and purifying process exhaust gases, which contain combustible constituents, wherein the process exhaust gases and the oxygen-containing gases required for a combustion are separately supplied to a fluidized bed reactor of a circulating fluidized bed. In the fluidized bed reactor, the gas velocity is adjusted to 2 to 10 m/s (empty pipe velocity), the mean suspension density is adjusted to 0.1 to 10 kg/m.sup.3, the temperature is adjusted to 700.degree. to 1100.degree. C., and the stoichiometric ratio of gas-purifying agent having a particle size d.sub.p 50 of 30 to 200 .mu.m to pollutant contained in the process exhaust gas or formed by the combustion is adjusted to 1.2 to 3.0, calculated as Ca:S. The entrained solids in the gases from the fluidized-bed reactor are recycled to the reactor at a rate of at least 5 times the weight of solids contained in the fluidized bed reactor per hour.

摘要： An improvement in a radiation boiler for cooling a gas stream containing solid and molten particles wherein gas is introduced vertically via a gas feed at the top of a radiation boiler having a cooled gas outlet and a water bath disposed at the bottom thereof for removing the particles after they have been solidified and cooled. Between the gas feed and the water bath are disposed at least two concentrically arranged cylindrical tubular heat exchange elements vertically disposed in the boiler and forming at least one annular passage therebetween. The passage through the innermost heat exchange element is in fluid flow registry and fluid flow communication with the gas feed. A conical deflector has the axis thereof coincident with that of the innermost heat exchange element and thereby in registry with the flow of gas passing through the passage through the innermost heat exchange element and is disposed toward the bottom of the radiation boiler above the water bath but at least partially below the lower end of the innermost heat exchange element, whereby gas which strikes the conical surface of the conical deflector is deflected and passes through the at least one annular passage and in the passage of the innermost heat exchange element.
