摘要： An exhaust gas aftertreatment system for an internal combustion engine, which comprises an exhaust system which can be connected to the outlet of an internal combustion engine. A catalytic converter close to the engine and a second catalytic converter arranged downstream of the catalytic converter in an underbody of a motor vehicle are provided in the flow direction of an exhaust gas from the internal combustion engine flowing through an exhaust gas duct of the exhaust system. An inlet point for secondary air, an exhaust gas burner, and a fuel injector for introducing fuel into the exhaust gas duct are arranged downstream of the catalytic converter close to the engine and upstream of the second catalytic converter. According to the invention, the exhaust gas burner is activated immediately after the internal combustion engine is started in order to heat the second catalytic converter to its light-off temperature. Once the second catalytic converter has reached its light-off temperature, secondary air and fuel are additionally introduced into the exhaust gas duct and are exothermically reacted on the second catalytic converter in order to support the heating of the second catalytic converter.

摘要： An air-cooled engine includes a muffler that is attached to an exhaust port of a cylinder and a fan case that houses a cooling fan, and a cylinder cooling room is formed by a cylinder cover that houses the cylinder. A muffler cooling room is formed by a first muffler cover that covers at least some of the muffler through a clearance and a second muffler cover that covers at least some of the first muffler cover through a clearance. Some of cooling air generated by the cooling fan is supplied to the muffler cooling room. The cooling air is supplied to at least one of a first space between the muffler and the first muffler cover and a second space between the first muffler cover and the second muffler cover.

The exhaust aftertreatment system further includes a silencer disposed between the outlet of the first catalyst assembly and the inlet of the ASC assembly, wherein the silencer is configured to receive the fluid and an oxidant for mixing with the fluid provide sufficient oxygen in the fluid flowing into the inlet of the ASC assembly to enable the catalytic activity in the ASC assembly that coverts NH3 into N2, and the silencer is configured to mix the fluid and the oxidant.

The first inlet is designed to receive exhaust gases from an exhaust duct of the engine. The exhaust gases pass through the chamber when moving from the first inlet to the first outlet. The exhaust gases then exit the muffler through the first outlet. The conduit extends between a second inlet and a second outlet. The second inlet is configured to receive fresh air entering the muffler. The fresh air then exits the conduit and is introduced into the exhaust gases through the second outlet.

The secondary air induction pipe extends to the outside of the muffler via a through hole that has an edge, at least a portion of which is defined by each of a first member and a second member of the muffler.
