摘要： Various embodiments, relate to a system of lockers including a plurality of tracks and a plurality of walls. At least two of the plurality of walls slidably coupled to at least two of the plurality of tracks. Four of the plurality of walls form four sides of a locker cavity. The system also includes a plurality of doors. Each of the plurality of doors are oriented perpendicular to the plurality of the walls. A first door of the plurality of doors is coupleable to a second door of the plurality of doors so as to form a third door, and at least one of the plurality of doors form one side of the locker cavity. The system also includes a back wall, which forms one side of the locker cavity. The system further includes a lock for securing positions of the plurality of walls and of the plurality of doors.

摘要： An apparatus and method for enhancing the security of a cluster box unit which includes a protective enclosure, internal cabinetry, door, hinge and locking system. The cluster box unit may also include outgoing mail compartment doors that are heavily constructed and rigidly reinforced, with the locks carried thereon protectively shielded, and with the extensible bolts of these locks being engaged by brackets that not only lock the outgoing mail compartment doors but also the master loading doors of the cluster box units. The cluster box unit may also include master loading doors are provided with hinges that extend the full height of the doors—hinges that are defined by pivotally interfitting elements of extrusions that very sturdily mount the master loading doors, that prevent prying or bending the doors in the vicinities of their hinges. The interfitting elements of the hinge extrusions also permit the doors to be installed on their surrounding door frames quickly and easily, and permit one or both of the master loading doors to be quickly and easily removed for service or replacement when necessary.

摘要： A safe deposit box access system is provided. A user provides biometric credential information such as a fingerprint scan to gain access to a vault storing a plurality of safe deposit boxes. Each of the safe deposit boxes is equipped with a sensor for detecting movement and motion. The sensor comprises a transmitter for transmitting a unique identification number corresponding to that safe deposit box to a receiver. The receiver is coupled to a computer, which compares the identification number of the moved or opened safe deposit box to the stored profile of the user who gained biometric access to the vault. If the moved or opened safe deposit box does not correspond to the safe deposit box rented by the user who gained biometric access, an alarm is triggered.

摘要： A drum-shaped cash drop box rotatable about a pin coincident with its central axis includes a substantially U-shaped rotatable handle. The drum has a plurality of compartments. Insertion slots arranged at spaced intervals about the drum cylindrical periphery, each communicating with an associated compartment. Swingable doors arranged along one flat side wall of the drum respectively lockingly seal and unseal access openings, for gaining access to the compartments. The drop box is insertable into a parallelepiped shaped sleeve, having one vertical side opening. Guides in the sleeve interior limit the penetration depth of the drop box into the sleeve and align the handle for locking. The pin of a lockable detent moves into an opening in one arm of the handle to lock the drop box within the sleeve while permitting free rotation thereof. The top surface of the sleeve is provided with a common insertion opening and the drop box is rotatable to selectively align the drop box insertion openings therewith. Shutter assemblies provided in each compartment include a shutter biased to seal its associated insertion opening. A latch assembly receives a projection on its associated shutter plate to lock the shutter plate in a position displaced from the associated insertion opening. A lockable detent mounted upon the sleeve includes a pin movable through an elongated opening in the sleeve for unlatching the latch assembly, the shutter being held in the latched position by the pin until release.

摘要： A deposit box construction is disclosed wherein vertically adjacent deposit boxes are interlocked in any combination to provide a deposit box installation having any desired mix of box sizes. In the preferred embodiment, each box door is grooved to receive a metallic strip member that is slidably disposed within juxtaposed grooves so that vertically adjacent doors are rigidly interconnected by the strip members. The interlocking means further includes a flat, preferably metallic plate member that is fixedly secured at longitudinally opposed ends of the adjacent doors. Thus, one strip member and one plate member interlock two vertically adjacent door members to provide a single deposit box of twice the capacity of a single box. A larger number of vertically adjacent doors may be similarly interlocked by n-1 pairs of strip members and plate members.
