摘要： An improved suspended ceiling of the type having ceiling panels resting on a support framework employs shape-memorizing metal alloy members to hold the panel in place on the framework in the event of fire and causing the panels to rest freely on the framework at normal temperatures to enable the panels to be easily removed or pushed up for access to the space above the panels. At a critical temperature, the memory members revert to their memorized shape and in so doing cause retention members to move and extend over the panels to hold those panels in place.

摘要： A highly flexible reflective insulation inner assembly is provided which spaces a pair of flexible reflective insulation sheets while also sealing a volume of space therebetween. To accomplish this a corrugated strip of material is mounted on its edge between the pair of flexible reflective insulation sheets all along the perimeter of the two sheets. The corrugated strip seals and spaces the two flexible sheets while allowing them to be curved and bent to conform to the shape of the more rigid inner and outer case assembly which mounts on the body to be insulated to thus provide a flexible and efficient thermal insulation inner assembly. In vertical mounting of such reflective insulation inner assemblies the height of the enclosed volume is maintained at substantially twelve inches to minimize convective heat transfer thereby.

摘要： A hold down clip for mounting on an inverted T-shaped rib of a grid-type ceiling structure, for holding the ceiling tiles in place. The clip comprises spaced leg portions which are adapted to overlie the tile and at least one foot portion projecting outwardly from the respective leg portion, with such foot portion having tab means thereon for either digging into the underlying tile and anchoring it in place or engaging the adjacent edge surface of the underlying tile in the event the latter is cut short, and maintaining it in position. The clip may be expeditiously formed from flat sheet material, such as sheet metal; in some embodiments the clip comprises more than one pair of leg portions.
