摘要： An open-type circular knitting machine for the open and width-variable web production with a knitted fabric take-down and/or collecting assembly, including: a basement, knitting head and take-down and/or collecting assembly for the fabric. The head is equipped with a needle-holding element having a plurality of needles arranged around a central axis; a first and last active needle delimit a dead zone of the element without needles, and an arc-shaped operating zone with active needles. The head has a control device connected to the active needles to selectively actuate them to produce an open knitted fabric extending between two side edges making up two selvedges of the fabric. The assembly is downstream from the head with respect to feeding direction of the fabric, configured for rotating integral or coordinated with the element during production. Further, at least a first cutting device, configured for progressively cutting and/or trimming the produced fabric.

摘要： An automatic winding and doffing apparatus of a circular knitting machine includes a winding unit that revolves synchronously with the cylinder of the circular knitting machine. The apparatus includes opposed winding apparatus frame arms. A fabric winding roll has one roll end pivotally mounted on one of the arms. A guide mechanism guides the knitted fabric to the winding roll. The fabric roll is stopped after a predetermined amount of fabric has been wound. A doffing apparatus doffs the fabric from the winding roll after a predetermined amount of fabric has been wound on the fabric roll. In a preferred embodiment, the other winding roll end is freely supported by a turning lever pivotally mounted on the frame. Upon pivoting movement of the lever arm, the winding roller may be moved from a home, winding position to an unloading, doffing position in which the other end of the winding roller is removed from the support arm. A lock mechanism operatively connects to the turning lever for locking the turning lever in a position in which the turning lever supports the winding roller in the home, winding position and for unlocking the turning lever to allow the turning lever to pivot and disengage from the winding roller.

The terminal portions of the yarns having cut ends. The attachment comprising a device having yarn clipping means disposed within the tubular fabric and rotating in unison with the needle cylinder to cut and to shorten the terminal portions of the changed yarns as the tubular fabric continues to be made, whereby the yarns are cut firstly by the striper boxes and secondly by the yarn clipping means.

摘要： “Tinkles” (also known as “gotchas”) (see reference number 20 in FIGS. 1 and 2) are portions of knitted metal loops produced when a tube of knitted wire mesh is cut into individual pieces. In the prior art, tinkles have been considered a fact of life and the approach has been to try to shake them out of the mesh or immobilize them on or in the mesh. By producing a knitted tube (11) having alternating segments (12,13) of knitted rows of yarn and knitted rows of wire, completely tinkle-free knitted socks are produced which are used to produce completely tinkle-free knitted wire mesh filters. Knitted wire mesh filters that cannot release tinkles because they do not have any tinkles can be used in such applications as fuel filters and airbag filters.

Each tooth of the saw has a cutting zone away from and moved back with respect to the front part. The front part is intended for gripping and dragging along the thread towards the knife. Between the front part and the cutting zone of each tooth, there is provided a notch or step, which is intended for holding a piece of thread without being intercepted by the knife. The cutting zone interacts with the knife for cutting the thread away from the front part, when the thread rests on the cutting zone.

摘要： Knitted fabric produced by a circular knitting machine passes downwardly to a fabric winding unit that rotates synchronously with the knitting unit and that includes fabric delivery rolls and a fabric winding shaft that are driven by rotation of the unit. The winding unit also includes a fabric guide that guides the fabric onto the shaft, a fabric cutter that cuts the fabric after a preselected quantity of it has been wound upon the roll, a fabric receiving table, and a thruster that removes the wound fabric from the center shaft and discharges the fabric onto the fabric receiving table and thereafter from the machine. A central processing unit and associated sensor and switch elements monitor and/or control operation of the knitting machine and winding unit.
