    • An exhaust oven for heat treating and simultaneously evacuating cathode ray tubes includes a tunnel structure with a through passageway and temperature control apparatus for providing regulated heating and/or cooling of the atmosphere in one or more longitudinal zones of the passageway. The oven also includes apparatus for conveying the tubes along the passageway and exhaust ducts operatively connected to the necks of the tubes during conveyance to evacuate gases therefrom. Baffles within at least one of the zones of the passageway circulate the atmosphere about the exterior of the tubes. The baffles include at least one inlet directing a flow of atmosphere to impinge onto the face of the screen panel of each tube and one or more outlets in adjacent spaced relationship to side edges of said panel and/or to the neck of the tube for exit of the flow of atmosphere from the baffles.

    • A forced convection heating apparatus and process for heating glass sheets therewithin. The apparatus includes at least one gas burner for producing hot combustion gases which is to be distributed to the top and/or bottom surfaces of a glass sheet within the apparatus housing. Spent hot working fluid, which has impinged the top and bottom surfaces of the glass sheet, is drawn into a mixing chamber operably positioned about a gas burner. The spent hot working fluid and newly produced hot combustion gases from the gas burner are mixed within the mixing chamber and then distributed toward and into operable contact with at least one of the top and bottom surfaces of the glass sheet.

    • A compact fiber rotator has a guiding and support Device (2) which comprises suction channels (17) formed in the angle of two blocks (3, 5), and a rotation device (32) which is attachable to the guide device (2) and comprises a house (33), a rotating toothed wheel part (37), a platform (31) attached thereto and an electric step motor (43). The toothed wheel part (37) of the rotator device is provided with a slot (45) between two gear teeth (39), in which the fiber (1) which is to be rotated and welded is placed. The electrical step motor (43) is on its output shaft provided with a gear pinion (41) which is engaged with the teeth of the toothed wheel part (39), so that the motor (43) can be controlled to rotate the fiber (1) to a desired angular position.
