    • In a wiper device for vehicles, a wiper blade is rotatably held on a retainer of a wiper arm through a holding axis. A slider is integrated with an end of a primary lever of the wiper blade. The slider is arranged at a position being shifted toward the wiper arm from the holding axis. The retainer has a longitudinal base wall and a first and second side walls extending from opposite side edges of the base wall, to have substantially a U-shaped cross-section opening toward a wiping surface. A slider base, a posture maintaining portion and the end of the primary lever are provided to be retractable in a U-shaped cavity of the retainer. While the wiper blade is lifted with the slider, the wiper blade is held at a predetermined posture with respect to the retainer.

    • A wiper assembly having a wiper frame and a wiper boot is provided. The wiper boot includes an upper wall integrally connected between two side walls. A lower leg is integrally connected to each side wall at an end opposite that of the upper wall. Each lower leg runs transversely and inwardly from the side walls, the lower legs integrally connecting to a u-shaped wall. The upper wall, the side walls, the lower legs, and the u-shaped wall define a cavity that receives the wiper frame. The wiper boot is made from silicone elastomer that preferably includes approximately 30 to 60 weight percent of polyvinylmethylsiloxane, approximately 15 to 40 weight percent of filler, approximately 0.1 to 10 weight percent of pigment, and approximately 0.1 to 10 weight percent of catalyst.

    • A wiper system for use with a windshield is provided and includes a wiper arm having a first and second end. The first end of the wiper arm includes a reaction surface disposed thereon while the second end includes a wiper blade biased into engagement with the windshield. In addition, a drive motor is fixedly attached to the first end of the wiper arm, whereby the drive motor includes a drive shaft operable to pivot the wiper arm across the windshield. A separator assembly is further provided and is supported by the drive shaft. The separator assembly is disposed within the arm and is operable to react against the reaction surface of the arm to selectively lift the wiper arm from engagement with the windshield.

    • A tandem windshield wiper system including a first windshield wiper assembly having a first lever arm that is adapted to operatively move in a repeated wiping motion across the surface of a windshield. A second connecting arm is operatively disposed between the second lever arm and the second end of the bellcrank and is adapted to translate the drive torque from the motor to the second windshield wiper assembly.

    • The invention relates to a wiper blade for a wiper system for wiping motor vehicle windows. The inventive wiper blade comprises a wiper blade rubber squeegee, which has a wiping lip that faces the window, a rear part that faces away from the window, and a tilting connecting element that joins the wiping lip to the rear part. The wiper blade also comprises a strip-like elastic supporting element, or at least one spring rail, which stabilizes the wiper blade rubber squeegee. Said supporting element can be joined to a wiper arm which can be transversally driven with regard to the longitudinal extension of the wiper blade and which can be tensioned against the window. The wiper blade is additionally provided with a casing or covering which surrounds, at least in sections, the rear part and the supporting element or the at least one spring rail. The invention is characterized in that the casing is provided with a streamlined form, surrounds the rear part, and when viewed in a direction parallel to the window and of the longitudinal extension of the wiper blade, covers the tilting connecting element or in that the covering is held on the at least one spring rail.
