摘要： A compression apparatus for applying a compression force to a stack of filter disks comprising a compression activator and a compression applicator is provided. The compression activator includes a sleeve mounted on a first rod element, a first locking means for locking said sleeve in an upper position on the rod, a second locking means for locking said sleeve on a lower position on the first rod element and a lever for applying a force on said sleeve to move the sleeve along said first rod element. The compression applicator includes a compressible spring mounted on a second rod element, a third locking means for locking the spring in a compressed position when the third locking means is in a lower position on said second rod element. The first rod element and the second rod element are attachable to each other and to a third rod element extending through centrally positioned holes in each of a stack of filter disks, A lever for applying a force and the spring are positioned to apply a compression force on the stack of filter disks when the second locking means is positioned on the lower position on the first rod element. The compression activator and said compression applicator are detachable from each other.

摘要： A crimping tool is provided for connecting a modular plug connector with a telephone/data cable, and an axial connector with a coaxial cable, including a pair of operating arms pivotally connected intermediate their ends to define on opposite sides of the pivot axis a pair of operating end portions and a pair of crimping end portions, respectively, a pair of crimping dies being connected between the crimping end portions and containing first recesses for defining a first crimping chamber adjacent the end extremities of the crimping end portions, the adjacent surfaces of the crimping dies containing opposed second recesses cooperating to define a second crimping chamber arranged between the first crimping chamber and the pivot axis of the operating arms. One of the crimping dies is a support die for supporting the modular plug connector longitudinally of the associated crimping arm portion, and the other die is an actuating die having projections for displacing first and second strain relief devices into engagement with the insulation layers of the telephone/data cable and the exposed insulated conductors thereof, respectively. The adjacent surfaces of the dies contain opposed guide devices that cooperate to align the first recesses and the second recesses, respectively, during movement of the operating arms toward their closed crimping position.

摘要： A process for increasing the tactile properties of a base web without adversely affecting the strength of the web is disclosed. In general, the process includes the steps of placing a base web in between a first moving conveyor and a second moving conveyor. The conveyors are then wrapped around a shear inducing roll which creates shear forces that act upon the base web. The shear inducing roll typically has a relatively small diameter. In some applications, more than one shear inducing roll may be incorporated into the system. In other applications, the shear inducing roll can also be a nip roll for decreasing the caliper of the base web. The shear inducing roll may be stationary, as in the form of a stationary shoe with a convex edge, or may rotate. In one embodiment, the shear inducing roll can rotate on an air bearing.

This baling press cart includes a two layer rack and a movable baling ram which moves horizontally back and forth in-between the front and back frame within the center space of the upper layer of the rack.
