    • Resilient exercise board comprising a generally planar platform having a laminated structure comprising a substantially rigid substrate and a pad of resilient material on one side of the substrate, and a plurality of resilient feet on the side of the substrate opposite the pad for supporting the platform in a predetermined position relative to a supporting surface. The resilient feet have upper sections affixed to the substrate and lower sections which can be swung between positions beside and beneath the upper sections to adjust the height of the feet and thereby position the platform in different planes relative to the supporting surface. The resilient pad is covered by a flexible cover having a skid resistant upper surface. In one embodiment, the platform has resilient reinforcing elements on the under side of the substrate.

    • A diving system for launching a person into a swimming pool or the like that is particularly well suited for use in a limited space which normally precludes the use of a conventional board. The system employs a relatively short board pivotally secured to a base member and having two arcuate shaped spring members that are anchored at one end in the base and which are cojoined at the opposite end by a crossbar passing under the board. The crossbar is arranged to ride in contact with the working surface of a slide affixed to the board so that rearward movement of the crossbar is promoted when the board is deflected under a relatively light load and is resisted when the board is deflected under a relatively heavy load. The slide includes a generally concave shaped working surface for receiving the crossbar and, automatically changes the fulcrum ratio of the system to present a more flexible board to a lighter or less active diver and a stiffer board to a heavier or more active diver. The slide extends generally longitudinally the board.

    • This invention provides a cantilever stand for diving boards that is constructed entirely of fiberglass materials and in a rigid, one-piece configuration in which all mounting hardware is not only hidden from view to make for a more pleasant appearance but also is protected from the corrosive aspects of the elements. The instant stand also is provided with means for anchoring a diving board at the butt end with an integrally constructed fulcrum at the other end for providing the necessary and proper support at the correct fulcrum point to assure the best results in both performance, i.e. safe performance, and long life. Means are also provided for mounting safety handrails if desired.
