    • The invention relates to a device (1) for measuring a relative position and/or movement of a mandible (UK) relative to a maxilla of a patient, comprising an emitting coil (8) for emitting an electromagnetic measuring field (5), at least one mandible sensor (US1), said mandible sensor (US1) being placed and/or can be placed on teeth in the mouth (U1-U8) or in the mouth on a mandible device (UK). The mandible sensor (US1) is designed as a sensor at least for determining a position in a measuring field (5) and/or relative to the emitting coil (8), also comprising an evaluation device (3) for determining the relative position and/or relative movement of the mandible (UK) relative to the maxilla (OK) based on positions determined by the sensor (US1). The sensor coil (8) is placed and/or can be placed outside of the mouth on the side or above the maxilla (OK). The invention also relates to a method for determining a relative position and/or movement of the mandible (UK) relative to a maxilla (OK) of a patient with a device (1), a device (X) for simulating and transferring a measured relative movement from the method and a holding device for at least one maxilla sensor (OS1) and/or at least one mandible sensor (US1).

    • The invention relates to a system for recording, transferring and simulating a relative position and/or movement, measured on a patient, of a mandible (UK) relative to a maxilla (OK) of the patient, comprising: —a transmitter coil (8) for transmitting a magnetic measurement field (5), wherein the transmitter coil (8) can be arranged extra-orally laterally or above the maxilla (OK) in a fixed position in relation to the maxilla; —at least one sensor (9) placed on the mandible (UK) of the patient and arranged in at least one holding device (3) having a position marking (5) for the sensor (9) —a sensor positioning device (13) provided for setting the axis-orbital plane and condylar points and comprising at least one sensor (11) for capturing and emitting positional data which can be introduced into the position marking (5) of the holding device (3); —a data set of a relative movement, measured on a patient, of a mandible (UK) relative to a maxilla (OK) of the patient, the data set is generated from the sensor signals of the at least one sensor (9) arranged on the mandible (UK) of the patient and from the positional data from the sensor signals from the sensor positioning device (7); and —a computer for recording, processing and displaying the movement data from the data set from the sensor(s) (7, 9), the fusion of the position and movement data producing a three-dimensional image of the movement sequence and enabling the therapeutic positions or functions to be controlled. The invention relates to a corresponding method for recording, transferring and simulating a relative position and/or movement, measured on a patient, of a mandible (UK) relative to a maxilla (OK) of the patient.

    • A method of custom molding occlusal surfaces of dentures and the surfaces thus produced. Special teeth are used for the lower posterior teeth on the mandibular plate of dentures and a central bearing device is attached to the dentures. Each special tooth has a central receptacle used initially for holding an insert for positioning the dentures while the central bearing device is adjusted and then as a container to hold moldable resin when the insert is removed. The central receptacle holds the resin as it is molded by the opposing teeth moving through all possible eccentric positions, with the central bearing device preventing the teeth from closing too far. The resin is then cured and trimmed and the dentures are clinically fit to the patient before the central bearing device is removed from the dentures.
