摘要： The present invention relates to an application assembly for applying coating onto confectionary products comprising a housing (5) comprising a product coating void (6) for receiving the confectionery product (9) to be coated, at least one receptacle (8), the receptacle being adapted to receive coating material and comprising a supply hole or holes (11) through which coating material may flow from the housing (5) and into the coating void (6) where it becomes transferred onto the product, and wherein each receptacle comprises one or more applicator members (10) to transfer 16 coating material onto the confectionery product and wherein the supply hole or holes (11) are formed within said receptacles, and wherein the one or more applicator member comprises a cavity (14) to allow accumulated coating material to be collected and stored when a product remains static in the product void. The invention also relates to a method for applying a partial coating to a confection products.

摘要： A system for coating fruit with a substance utilizing a vat that stores a coating substance which can be applied via a dipping process. A dipping cover having a rim is provided for engaging an upper rim of the vat. A dipping tray carries a plurality of fruit items and includes a plurality of receptacles for carrying the fruit items. The dipping tray has a profile smaller than the interior of the vat allowing the dipping tray to be lowered so that the coating substance contained within the interior of the vat may engage the fruit. The dipping cover is configured for supporting the dipping tray in an elevated position once the fruit has been coated allowing excess coating to be vibrated off the dipped fruit.

摘要： The buttering device is a double walled vessel having an interior chamber containing liquid butter, a lid, and a handle. The vessel has a height sufficient to admit a corn on the cob and between the outer wall and the inner wall, an hollow annular space for heated water. The lid closes the top of the chamber and extends over the outer wall of the vessel. The lid has a center opening with flaps that admits the end of corn on the cob and the flaps glide upon the corn. Heated water placed in the annular space melts butter added to the chamber. Corn on the cob, inserted through the opening, coats itself in butter. Once buttered, the corn on the cob is withdrawn from the lid where the flaps retain excess butter within the chamber.

摘要： A fountain for heating and distributing fluidic material is manufactured using various processes and materials. In one embodiment, the fountain includes a heating element encased in an enclosure. A basin containing a medium, such as chocolate, is removably mounted to the enclosure so that the basin is heated by contact with the enclosure. Additionally, an auger having a spiral flight rotates and lifts the melted chocolate upward to a top end of a cylinder that houses the auger. One or more tiers may be mounted, using various locking mechanisms, onto the cylinder to divert flow of the medium. A smaller chocolate fountain that may advantageously be more suitable for home use is also described herein.

摘要： A nozzle assembly is provided with a valve to enable the coating of low aspect ratio items such as tablets. In a preferred embodiment a valve is disclosed such that the vacuum forces acting on the surfaces of the valve are equal to the weight of the valve. This balancing of the weight of the valve and the vacuum forces allows gravity to be the primary motive force for actuation. The weight of the valve is used to detect a tablet, such that when a tablet is missing, the valve prevents any coating from being pulled into the nozzle.

摘要： An apparatus and method for dipping products, such as tablets, into coating material and for spreading and setting the coating immediately after dipping is provided. Carrier plates having a plurality of tablet holders are transported from a tablet loading station to a dipping station along a transport guide. At the dipping station, a carrier plate is mounted to a vacuum chamber. A set of vacuum tubes in the vacuum chamber are extended through the tablet holders to contact and lift the tablets off of the holders and secure the tablets to the tubes. In a preferred embodiment, the vacuum chamber is rotated 180.degree. and a second carrier plate is mounted onto the housing and a second set of tubes secure the tablets to the plate. The carrier plates are alternately dipped and returned to the guide means where new plates with uncoated tablets replace the plates with coated tablets. Immediately after dipping the carrier plates enter a rotating station where the plate is rotated 360.degree. and then replaced on the guide means for transportation to further processing stations. Preferably, the rotating station includes a similar vacuum chamber with vacuum tubes that are extended into the holder for securing the tablet during rotation.

摘要： An apparatus for holding a solid compact medicament has relatively displaceable, substantially planar first and second members having opposed edge portions. Each edge portion has at least one notch having an interior wall. Housing is provided for holding members in a substantially co-planar relationship. When members are displaced, preferably along a fixed axis, to a first position, the interior walls of the opposed, aligned notches define an open gripping jaw for receiving and subsequently releasing the caplet. Further, when members are displaced to a second position, the open gripping jaw then partially closes, thereby capturing the caplet securely within the notches in the gripping jaw for processing.

摘要： A novel capsule-like medicament and method for producing such medicaments are disclosed. The method provides a procedure for coating solid cores, such as caplets, with a first gelatinous coating on one end, and then with a second gelatinous coating on the other end which is thickner than the first, to simulate the interlocking halves of a hollow capsule. The second, thicker gelationous coating can be provided with a single gelatin coating from a bath having a higher viscosity than the bath used to provide the first gelatinous coating. Alternatively, the second gelatinous coating can be provided by double dipping to provide layers of gelatinous material or gelatin.
