    • The proposed hydro-mechanical slot perforator for well drilling is a device designed for opening productive formations in at least two projections forming high quality slots. The perforator includes a casing, housing a piston-pusher, and a cutting assembly, located below the piston-pusher, including extendable cutting tools and a mechanism for extending thereof, formed as a double-arm (lower and upper) lever (or a balance beam), whose arms hold the cutting tools. A deflecting wedge is mounted on a mobile shaft under the lever. The shaft rotates when the lower arm interacts with the wedge, while the piston-pusher moves down. The piston-pusher is designed as a wedge-piston acting on the upper arm, extending the top cutting tools out, resulting in the wedge-piston and the deflecting wedge creating oppositely directed forces acting simultaneously upon the upper and lower arms. Another embodiment is proposed where an augmented cutting assembly includes more than two cutting tools.

    • A production casing ripper comprising a swedge; spring housing; coupling; main housing; end piece; blade; and means for connecting the blade to the plunger; wherein the blade is situated inside of the main housing; wherein a plunger is situated inside of the main housing; wherein a primary spring is situated inside of the spring housing; wherein a primary pull rod is connected to the primary spring at one end and to the plunger at the other end; wherein when hydraulic pressure is introduced through the swedge, the plunger moves downward inside of the main housing and causes the blade to extend through an aperture in the main housing; and wherein when the hydraulic pressure is released, the primary spring causes the plunger to return to its original position, thereby causing the blade to retract.

    • A tool is provided for notching an end of a pipe. A punch is provided with a first cutting edge opposite a second cutting edge. The punch is coupled to a punch holder which is configured to move vertically relative to a collar supported upon a base. A pipe support provides a preferred form of die to hold the pipe adjacent the punch. The pipe support includes a first edge, second edge, third edge and fourth edge which can be selectively presented for supporting the end of the pipe adjacent the punch. The first cutting edge and second cutting edge of the punch can be selectively provided for cutting the notch in the pipe. The punch and pipe support are preferably both re-orientable to select various different edges for supporting and cutting the pipe.

    • A drain line re-perforator device for punching holes in clogged drain pipe sections in a sewage disposal system is provided. The re-perforator device includes an outer cylindrically-shaped housing member and a dual-actuating ram assembly disposed concentrically within the outer housing member. Three equally spaced-apart angled bracket members are mounted hingedly on the peripheral surface of the outer housing member and includes a punch bit positioned for outward radial movement. The ram assembly is formed of a cylinder and a piston rod. The piston rod is moved in a reciprocal motion from a retracted position to a an extended position so as to cause the angled bracket members to pivot outwardly and the punch bits to move outward radially for punching holes in the clogged drain pipe sections.

    • The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for cutting a series of uniformly spaced longitudinal slits in a cylindrical shotgun shell wad. The wad slitting apparatus, with which the method can be performed, is a cylindrical member having upper and lower portions. A plurality of cutting members are uniformly spaced about the lower portion and project radially outwardly therefrom, with each cutting member having a downwardly facing cutting edge spaced a predetermined distance from a bottom edge of the cylindrical member. In use, the upper portion of the cylindrical member is secured to a movable ram member, which may be the ram tube of a shotgun reloader, and the lower portion is inserted into a wad positioned on a fixed plate. The ram member is then moved toward the plate, causing the cutting members to make a plurality of longitudinal slits in the wad with the slits extending from the upper end of the wad to an area spaced from a lower base portion of the wad by said predetermined distance.

    • Punch apparatus for simultaneously punching concentric but unequal sized holes in two adjacent material sheets. The punch apparatus is made up of three members: a punch, a die block, and an intermediate piece. The intermediate piece coacts with the punch and performs the function of a die block, and the intermediate piece also coacts with the die block to perform the function of a punch. The first material sheet is located intermediate the punch and intermediate piece, and the second sheet of material is located intermediate the intermediate piece and the die block. Downward movement of the punch, in cooperation with the intermediate piece, punches one hole in the sheet between the punch and intermediate piece. Downward movement of the punch also causes the intermediate piece to move downward and punch a hole in the second sheet of material, concentric with the first hole, but of a different diameter. Flexible loosening rings can be used to facilitate removal of the punched out material. In addition to the loosening rings or alternatively in lieu thereof, the punch and die block are provided with air passages to communicate with an air supply to remove the punched out material.
