    • A double-lock deadbolt lock that provides improved security for a person inside a structure having a door with the deadbolt lock thereon. The deadbolt lock disables the lock mechanism to prevent the lock from being unlocked by picking tools or any key, whether the real key or not, as to maintain the lock in its locked position until unlocked by the person inside the structure. The faceplate on the inside of the door has an aperture defining a lever cavity that is sized and configured to at least partially receive the thumb lever therein. The sides of the thumb lever will abut against the edges of the aperture and prevent a key or any other device from unlocking the lock mechanism. When outside the lever cavity, the double-lock deadbolt lock functions the same as a prior art deadbolt lock to allow use of a key to unlock the lock.

    • A closing device for a lock, comprising a pivoting bolt that can be closed in a forward and retracted position with the aid of a locking means. The invented device also comprises a closing element (13) that accommodates the bolt in a forward close position and a locking and unlocking device for said bolt. The locking and unlocking device comprises at least one locking element (17, 18) that can be moved forwards into the movement area of the bolt or retracted, whereby the pivoting bolt is secured in a forward position against closure in a retracted position or retracting from the forward close position. When in a locked position, mechanical door-side interventions on the locking mechanism of the locking cylinder or the pivoting bolt-lock do not result in a closing movement of said bolt.

    • A dead bolt type door lock including a combined dead bolt member and latch which engages a common locking recess in a door jamb around a door in which the lock is mounted. The door lock utilizes a standard keyed lock assembly in combination with a latch fitted in sliding relationship within a channel shaped dead bolt member so that when the dead bolt member is retracted into the door the latch functions in a conventional manner and when the dead bolt is extended over the latch into the door jamb opening the door is secured against the normal techniques of unauthorized entry commonly accomplished by the use of credit cards and the like. The lock includes linkage and latch assemblies for manipulating and holding the latch and dead bolt sleeve at the various operating positions at which the lock is locked and released. The dead bolt sleeve is selectively operable from both the interior and exterior sides of the door.

    • A panic exit door lock includes a cover (20) mounted to an outer side (10b) of a door (10). A sliding member (34) is slideably received in the cover (20) and operably connected to a latch (12). A handle (24) is pivotably mounted to the cover (20) and operably connected to the sliding member (34) such that rotation of the handle (24) causes sliding of the sliding member (34) to move the latch between an extended position and a retracted position. A limiting member (32) is pivotably received in the cover (20) between a blocking position not allowing movement of the sliding member (34) and a release position allowing movement of the sliding member (34). An inner lock core (54) and an outer lock core (270) are respectively mounted to an inner side (10a) and the outer side (10b) of the door (10). Either of the inner and outer lock cores (54, 270) can be rotated by a key to move the limiting member (32) between the blocking position and the release position.

The mechanism comprises a drive gear and an axle gear mounted to rotate about substantially the same axis. The idle gear is arranged to rotate in one sense when the drive gear rotates in the other sense. The mechanism also comprises at least one first member arranged to move between a thrown position and a retracted position when the drive gear rotates, and at least one second member arranged to move between a thrown position and a retracted position when the idle gear rotates. The first and second members are each provided with a rack held in intermeshing engagement with the appropriate gear.
