    • The fluid pressure regulating valve is for use in an aircraft engine. The valve has at least a first fluid inlet, a first fluid outlet and a second fluid outlet. The valve comprises: a valve housing having a first valve spool interior cavity; a first fluid path within the valve housing from the fluid inlet to the first fluid outlet; a second fluid path within the valve housing from the fluid inlet to the second fluid outlet; a first valve spool mounted for reciprocal motion within the first valve spool cavity between a first position and a second position, the first valve spool having a second valve spool interior cavity and being spring-biased to its first position; and a second valve spool mounted for reciprocal motion within the second valve spool cavity between a first position and a second position, the second valve spool being spring-biased to its first position, the second valve spool closing the first fluid path at its second position when the first valve spool is substantially at its first position.

    • When the pressure in a main fluid supply channel is lower than a no-load operation start pressure, the spool moves against the biasing force of a biasing member, and the area of opening of a auxiliary fluid supply channel is reduced with regards to opening of the internal flow channel. When the pressure in the main fluid supply channel rises and reaches a no-load operation start pressure, the area of opening in the auxiliary fluid supply channel with regards to opening of the internal flow channel becomes smaller and while connected to the main fluid supply channel, the auxiliary fluid supply channel is connected to the return flow channel. When the pressure in the main fluid supply channel rises above the no-load operating start pressure and reaches a no-load operation pressure, the auxiliary fluid supply channel is cut off from the main fluid supply channel.

    • A pressure regulating air valve assembly (100) for a pneumatic tool (90) is disclosed that is movable between an open position and a closed position such that the maximum pressure in the tool is limited to a predetermined value. The valve assembly include a fitting (110) with a central aperture (112) and an upper portion (114). A valve plate (130) is disposed in the fitting, and a collar (140) having an aperture (146) is retained in the fitting. A proximal end of a tubular piston (120) extends through the aperture, and a spring (118) biases the piston toward an open position. When the pressure in the hand tool exceeds a predetermined value, the pneumatic force on a distal annular head (126) of the piston urges the piston toward the valve plate (130), closing the valve. The valve plate may include a centering portion (134) and an elastomeric panel (136).
