摘要： An improved strap has a base end portion, a second end portion and a main portion which is disposed between the base and the second end portions of the strap. A first side of the strap has a layer formed of foam. A second side of the strap has a layer formed of fabric. The second side of a base end portion of the strap has a layer formed of foam. The layer formed of foam on the first side of the strap is placed in engagement with skin on a body of a patient. The base end portion of the strap is retained against movement relative to the body of the patient by wrapping the strap around a portion of the body of the patient and positioning a portion of the layer formed of foam and disposed on the first side of the strap in engagement with foam disposed on the second side of the base end portion of the strap. A second end portion of the strap is connected with the fabric layer on the second side of the strap at a location between the end portions of the strap.

摘要： Provided is a medical compound and a surgical tape containing the medical compound for curing muscle ache and stiffness. The medical compound is capable of radiating farinfrared in the wavelength rang of 3-16 .mu.m when stimulated by body heat. It has the effects of vitalizing cells and promoting metabolism. The medical compound is composed of powdered perelite and at least one metallic oxide such as Ta.sub.2 O.sub.5, Nb.sub.2 O.sub.5, NiO and the like, which will not cause environmental pollution when the surgical tape is discarded after use.

摘要： Process for preparing a permeable adhesive tape which comprises;preparing a dispersion comprising, as a dispersion medium, an organic solvent solution containing a natural or synthetic rubber and/or acrylic pressure sensitive adhesive agent and a polyfunctional isocyanate compound, and at least water and hydrophobic inorganic fine particles and optionally a water absorptive high molecular weight compound dispersed in the organic solvent solution,applying the dispersion directly onto a porous material or impregnating the porous material with the dispersion, thereafter the dispersion-applied or impregnated porous material being dried by heating; or spplying the dispersion onto a releasing sheet, heat drying the dispersion-applied sheet and laminating a porous material on the dispersion-applied surface thereof, thereby providing the permeable adhesive tape in which the permeable adhesive layer and the porous material are integrated.

摘要： An adhesive tape which includes an acrylic pressure sensitive adhesive mass coated on one side of a saturated paper, said paper (1) being saturated with from 20 to 75 parts per hundred parts paper of an acrylic polymer having a T.sub.g of less than 20.degree. C., and (2) comprising a mixture of woodpulp and thermoplastic fibers, said woodpulp comprising from about 10 to 75% by weight of the paper, and said thermoplastic fibers ranging in length, on the average, from about 1/4 to 3/4 of an inch and being selected from the group consisting of polyamide, polyester, polypropylene and polyethylene fibers, and a backsize coated on the other side of said paper, said backsize preferably being selected from the group consisting of styrene copolymers having a T.sub.g of at least 35.degree. C., silicones, fluorocarbons, long chain fatty acids, long chain fatty acid derivatives and mixtures thereof. Preferably the pressure sensitive mass is a blend of a copolymer of 2 ethylhexyl acrylate and vinyl acetate with a copolymer of 2 ethylhexyl acrylate and tert-butyl acrylamide.The instant tape is especially useful as a surgical tape and has an improved combination of the properties of conformability, straight tear and resistance to curling. Moreover, because of the high amounts of woodpulp included in the paper utilized in making the instant tape, an economical product is obtained.
