摘要： A plasma propulsion nozzle incorporates a cylinder having an inlet and an outlet. A plurality of substantially cylindrical planarly disbanded electrodes with sandwiched dielectric spacers is cascaded in an array to be concentrically expanding from the inlet through an interior chamber to the outlet for a nozzle. A voltage source applies aperiodic signal with rapidly reversing polarity to the electrodes with differential phase applied to adjacent electrodes in the array creating and expelling plasma clusters at each dielectric spacer inducing flow from the nozzle outlet to produce thrust.

Wound-healing action and reliable disinfection are effected using an annular flat electrode arrangement, which has a contact surface at an angle to the longitudinal axis, can be fastened to the skin penetration piece. The electrode arrangement includes a flat electrode and a flat dielectric shielding the electrode relative to the surface of the skin, and is designed as a counter-electrode to generate a dielectric barrier plasma between the dielectric and the surface of the skin.

The device comprises a conductive contact tube surrounding said path and electrically engageable with the wire as it moves along the path and through the tue and a dielectric sleeve adjacent the contact tube and extending in the given direction from the contact tube and around the path to define an annular gas passage between the dielectric sleeve ad the wire. An inlet for processing gas is adjacent the contact tube in and a conductive electrode sleeve is around the dielectric sleeve so a high frequency, high voltage signal between said electrode sleeve ad the contact tube creates a dielectric barrier discharge plasma of the progressing gas in the annular passage.

摘要： A reactor for reactive co-conversion of heavy hydrocarbons and hydrocarbon gases and includes a dielectric barrier discharge plasma cell having a pair of electrodes separated by a dielectric material and passageway therebetween. An inlet is provided for feeding heavy hydrocarbons and other reactive materials to the passageway of the discharge plasma cell, and an outlet is provided for discharging reaction products from the reactor. A packed bed catalyst may optionally be used in the reactor to increase efficiency of conversion. The reactor can be modified to allow use of a variety of light sources for providing ultraviolet light within the discharge plasma cell. Methods for upgrading heavy hydrocarbons are also disclosed.

摘要： A method and a device for generating a plasma in atmospheric-pressure, low-temperature conditions are described herein. The device described for the generation of the plasma comprises a first pair of electrodes, each of which separated by a dielectric layer and externally positioned with respect to a tubular duct where the gas flows, and a second pair of electrodes, also in this case each of which separated by a dielectric layer and externally positioned with respect to said tubular duct where the same gas flows downstream with respect to the first pair with respect to the direction of the flow. A high-frequency excitation is applied to the first pair of electrodes while a Radio-Frequency excitation is applied to the second pair of electrodes. The plasma generated in this manner emerges from the gas flow at the outlet of the transport duct. The high-frequency excitation can be applied in pulse trains and the Radio-Frequency generator is substantially activated in said pulse trains for the purpose of limiting the thermal load on the treated substrate. Chemical precursors and reagents can be added to the plasma as vapors or aerosols by means of a central transport duct coaxial with the tubular duct for the gas.
