    • A provided method for processing a voice call includes: loading CAP operation libraries and algorithms of camel1 and camel2 to a service creation environment version of camel3; identifying a network type of camel and determining whether to modify IDP parameters according to the identified network type; triggering a service of a camel3 network type; the service identifying a network type of camel, in which a current call is located, based on an event number and IDP parameters; invoking, according to the identified network type of camel in which the current call is located, a CAP operation library and an algorithm of a corresponding camel to process parameter information in an IDP, and invoking a signalling of a corresponding network type in subsequent operations. By applying the solution, it is not required to update service products to be adaptive to the network type.

    • The invention is directed to a method for accessing a service platform via an Internet browser session, as well as to a servlet, a service unit and an applet for performing the method. The method is made up of a number of steps. The first step is installing the servlet at a web-server of a content provider having access to this service platform. When a user then tries to use a service of this service platform, the servlet detects whether or not said browser session is already associated to a related service session. If the browser session is already associated to this related service session, it performs predetermined actions related to the service session, such as charging. If the browser session is not associated to the related service session, it returns a web page containing the applet to guide an associated browser of the user through a logon process for the related service session. In the end the user may access the service session via the browser session.

    • A system and methodology for building highly scalable Network Management Systems (NMS)s for the management of large voice and data networks is provided. The NMS of the present invention is designed to manage a plurality of network elements communicating through network controlled links. The elements are combined into management groups of no more than n elements. A first functional subsystem controls and manages the communication functions associated with a first group of elements. Each function or process inside the subsystem is guaranteed to communicate with only one instance of every other type of process or function. As additional network elements are added to the system, additional management groups are also added, one functional subsystem for every management group of elements. The plurality of other functional subsystems are substantially the same as the first functional subsystem. Limiting the management process to intra-subgroup communications greatly simplifies expansion of the system. When a total of m management groups exist, at least (m−1) functional subsystems are replicated from the first NMS subsystem. Thus, the network is scaled up by using size-limited subsystems.
