摘要： A control system of an appliance having a motor is provided. The control system includes an inverter circuit configured to provide power to the motor. The inverter circuit has a direct-current (DC) bus. 摘要： A method for power conversion includes coupling a first string to a second string via a first connecting node and a second connecting node to form at least one leg of a power converter. The first string is operatively coupled across a first bus and a second bus and comprises a first branch and a second branch coupled via a third connecting node. The first branch and the second branch include a plurality of controllable semiconductor switches. Furthermore, the second string comprises a first chain link and a second chain link coupled via an alternating current phase bus and includes a plurality of switching units. The first chain link and/or the second chain link are controlled to generate a negative voltage across at least one of the plurality of controllable semiconductor switches during a switch turn off process.

摘要： Technologies for reducing peak fault output current in a DC power generation system include a generator having a reduced damper winding and a controller to control a rectifier array to generate a DC power output. In some embodiments, the generator may have no damper windings, may have damper windings including a reduced number of damper bars, and/or may have damper windings having separated end ring mounts for each damper bar. The controller is configured to control the rectifier array so as to reduce oscillations of the DC output that may be due to the reduced damper windings. To do so, the controller is configured to generate the control signal based on an oscillation component of the DC power output. For example, the controller may generate an oscillation correction signal based on the DC power output and adjust a firing angle set point of the rectifier array based on the oscillation correction signal.

The AC waveform is connected to the AC load through a first solid state switch, wherein the magnitude of the DC voltage is controlled by a second solid state switch. Monitoring and control circuitry is provided to ensure that the first solid state switch is not turned off unless the second solid state switch is turned on. As a result, the electrical system may produce a nominal 12 volts DC output of sufficient current to desirably operate a multifunction gauge which otherwise might operate at varying voltage levels based on engine rpm variations.

摘要： An AC/DC converter for outputting high current, low voltage output from a high frequency AC source is described. The AC/DC converter includes two resonant components, a resonant circuit having a capacitor and an inductor. Both of the resonant components are connected in series and form a series resonant circuit. The converter further includes a transformer having a primary winding with a center tap to a secondary winding. The resonant circuit and the primary winding are connected in series. The center tap is connected to an output filter and a load, while the other two ends of the secondary winding are connected to two controlled switches, respectively. A drain of each of the two controlled switches is connected to opposite ends of the secondary winding, while each of the sources of the two controlled switches are interconnected. Two anti-parallel diodes are respectively connected across the two controlled switches. Two capacitors are also respectively connected across the two controlled switches. The on-time of the controlled switches is regulated to control the output voltage of the converter. The advantage is an inexpensive converter adapted to output high currents at low voltages with very little ripple and very low slew rate.
