    • The distribution connecting module for telecommunications and data systems technology, comprises a housing inside of which input and output contacts for connecting lines and wires are placed, said contacts being accessible from the exterior. The housing is provided with a cavity inside of which at least one printed circuit board is placed. The input and output contacts are situated on the opposing faces of the housing. The input contacts are provided in the form of at least one connector strip with insulation displacement contacts. The input and output contacts can be detachably connected to the printed circuit board. The connector strip supporting the input contacts is detachably connected to the housing via a front part. The insulation displacement contacts are connected to the printed circuit board via fork contacts. The connection between the front part and the housing is such that when the connection is released, the connector strip, which is connected to the front part, is, together with the fork contacts, moved away from the printed circuit board.

    • A socket assembly for mounting an electric meter. The assembly includes a neutral-ground connector subassembly comprising a base having opposing legs and a bottom defining a saddle for supporting at least one neutral conductor of a power line system, and a connector of electrically conductive material slidable on the base. A first screw is threaded through a first screw opening in the connector to a position in which the screw contacts a neutral conductor laid between the legs of the base. A second screw is threaded through a second screw opening in the connector to a position in which the screw contacts a socket assembly ground conductor.

    • A rugged, impact-resistant electrical junction box, particularly for installation in wet environments, such as at a swimming pool, includes a non-metallic, non-conductive base part defining a cavity in which electrical wires can be terminated, and defining an opening to this cavity. A cover part is provided to close the opening of the base part. A grounding bushing member provides for electrically bonding of the junction box to metallic electrical conduits. The base part also defines a plurality of through bores through which electrical wires may pass upwardly into the cavity, and a depending tubular boss portion at each of these through bores for connection of metallic or non-metallic electrical conduits. Internally of the cavity, the base part defines a strain relief structure above and aligning with each of the plural through bores. This base part also includes an electrical bonding bar providing for plural neutral and ground conductors to be secured and mutually electrically interconnected. The bonding bar is removable from the base part to ease the connection of electrical wires to this bonding bar.

    • A power connector includes a housing having a connecting member mounted thereto, a power input, and a power output. The power input and power output have respective ground leads electrically connected to the connecting member for creating an electrically conductive path from the connecting member to ground. The housing includes a mounting plate for mounting the power connector to the rack. Preferably, the mounting plate has an uninsulated, conductive surface area for making contact with a corresponding uninsulated, conductive surface area on the rack. The power output is formed of a power receptacle adapted to detachably receive the plug of a power cord from one or more of the components. Preferably, the power input is also formed of such a power receptacle, to permit an input power cord to be detached from the power connector.

    • A line conditioner system is provided for use with an in-line wire terminating base for terminating a plurality of telephone line pairs. The line conditioner system includes an electrical grounding, earthing bar and an integral module for conditioning a single telephone line pair. The electrical grounding, earthing bar extends along the length of the in-line wire terminating base and includes a pair of electrical grounding terminals received in electrical and mechanical contact engagement with an electrical grounding member of the in-line wire terminating base. The electrical grounding, earthing bar includes an elongated straight plate portion extending between the pair of electrical grounding terminals. The electrical grounding earthing bar is configured for easy assemble, manufacture and cleanability. The integral module includes a printed wiring board carrying protection circuitry for conditioning the single telephone line pair. The integral module includes a unitary base and a unitary, outwardly extending cover that cooperatively define a cavity for containing the printed wiring board. The unitary, outwardly extending cover includes a first end mating with the unitary base and a second opposed end, and the second opposed end includes features to facilitate removal of the integral module from the in-line wire terminating base, such as a flange, an aperture and thumb grips.

    • An improved terminal assembly for a panel board is disclosed which is simple in construction, easy to assemble and low in manufacturing costs. The panel board terminal assembly includes a bus bar mounted on support members formed of an electrically insulating material and a plurality of terminal frames each in the form of a substantially U-shaped cross section having a pair of opposed side walls and an intermediate wall interconnecting the side walls. The side walls have a pair of aligned openings formed therethrough into which the bus bar is inserted. A plurality of terminal screws are each threaded in the intermediate wall of each terminal frame for clamping an external conductor between the shank of each screw and the bus bar. For ensuring a more reliable connection between the electrical conductor and the bus bar, each of the side walls of each of the terminal frames is provided with a pair of inward projections just above the aperture for precluding the spreading of wires in the electrical conductor out from under the shank of the terminal screw. To prevent ground faults, an insulating plate is disposed between the supports and a base member of the panel board, and preferably the support members have lower seats projecting through apertures in the insulating plate to directly seat on the base member.
