    • A contact point member comprises contact point pieces extending from both ends of a base portion and a gripping portion extending from the center of the base portion. The base portion is placed on an upper surface of a holding portion in a base member and is inserted between a main wall of a surrounding wall and stoppers on the holding portion for positioning. After a front end of the base portion is pressed and inserted under a presser portion provided in the main wall, when the gripping portion is pressed on the holding portion, an engagement piece formed in the rear end of the gripping portion is engaged to a corner hole formed in a projection of the holding portion, thus preventing the falling-down of the contact point member. The mounting operation of the contact point member is easily completed simply by pressing down the gripping portion.

    • An electronic device may have a housing with an opening. A button may be formed within the electronic device. The button may have a button member that is actuated by a user. The button member may translate within an opening in the electronic device housing when actuated by a user. The button may have a shaft that is coupled to the button member by a coupling mechanism. When the button member is laterally translated within the opening, the coupling mechanism may rotate the shaft about its longitudinal axis. The button may be provided with detents using a detent biasing mechanism. The detent biasing mechanism may be based on a spring having grooves that interact with a protrusion on the shaft or a spring-loaded pin that engages recesses in the shaft. A switch mechanism for the button may be formed using traces on the shaft, spring-type switch contacts, and other structures.

    • An electrical connector includes an insulative housing, and a plurality of terminals arranged in the insulative housing. Each of the terminals has a first set and a second set of contacts. The first set of contacts is made of resilient materials, and the second set of contacts is made from red brass. In comparison with the conventional technology, various materials of the terminals are characterized in the present invention. One part of each terminal is made from red brass which has high conductivity, low flexibility and low cost, and the other part of each terminal is made from copper alloy, which has lower conductivity and higher flexibility than red brass. Therefore, the various materials assembled together in a single terminal allow rapid transmission between components, so as to broaden their application.
