摘要： A smart camera system provides focused images to an operator at a host computer by processing digital images at the imaging location prior to sending them to the host computer. The smart camera has a resident digital signal processor for preprocessing digital images prior to transmitting the images to the host. The preprocessing includes image feature extraction and filtering, convolution and deconvolution methods, correction of parallax and perspective image error and image compression. Compression of the digital images in the smart camera at the imaging location permits the transmission of very high resolution color or high resolution grayscale images at real-time frame rates such as 30 frames per second over a high speed serial bus to a host computer or to any other node on the network, including any remote address on the Internet.

摘要： A communication module has a backplane interface circuit that enables the module to communicate with other components of the programmable controller, and has a network interface circuit which sends and receives messages via a serial communication link. A memory within the module stores a designation of a starting time, a designation of a length of a message repeat interval, and a file of message information. A clock circuit determines when the starting time occurs and thereafter determines the expiration of each successive occurrence of the message repeat period. A control mechanism responds to the clock circuit determining an occurrence of the starting time or determining an expiration of a message repeat interval, by operating network interface circuit to transmit a message, that contains the message information, over the serial communication link.

摘要： In a straight and circular knitter, a control arrangement for supplying information upon needle selection on circulation knitting carriages includes a central control station provided with a main computer storing all information for controlling the knitting machine. Each knitting carriage is equipped with a control unit including an auxiliary computer, an end stage for operating the needles and a bus control circuit. The main computer is connected to respective circulating control units via a slide contact track and contact shoes coupled to respective auxiliary computers. The microprocessors in respective control units are interconnected by a bus including a transmitting line, a receiving and a bus control line. The bus control line forms with the bus control circuits and microcomputers of respective control units a closed loop which controls the transmission of error data to the main computer in the event that an error is detected in a control unit.

摘要： A large number of irrigation system devices connected to a common two-wire cable can be powered and individually controlled from a central location by transmitting over the cable DC pulses of alternating polarity. Control information is conveyed by transmitting a command pulse train consisting of a series of pulses, separated by short no-power intervals, whose polarities indicate logic ones or zeros. Following a command pulse train, a selected watering station decoder acknowledges receipt of instructions by drawing current during a predetermined pulse of an alternating-polarity power pulse cycle, while a sensor decoder returns binary data by drawing current during one or the other of the alternating-polarity pulses of a series of power pulse cycles.

摘要： There is described a node device of a serial bus system, a bus system with a node device of this type, and an input/output card. In serial bus system, in which individual node devices can have only a limited address space, and in which a number of input/output cards can be connected in order to control and/or regulate an item of external peripheral equipment, limitations arise for the individual input/output cards with regard to the available address space. Normally, the input/output cards, which are connected to the node device, are required to divide the address space of the node device among each other. In order to rectify this problem, the invention provides that a node device of a serial bus system, which has slots for input/output cards, is additionally equipped with a splitter for duplicating a received bus signal and for injecting the duplicated bus signal into another data line, the additional data line serially connecting the node device to input/output cards connected via the slots.
