    • A rotary kiln having a polygonal lining is disclosed for pyro-processing cement, lime, other minerals, as well as other materials. Specifically, utilizing a polygonal lining of brick or a refractory or ceramic material having between 3 and 12 sides improves the heat efficiency or heat transfer between high-temperature gases and a burden of material to be processed by the kiln. Such an efficient utilization of the gas heat is due to various factors which cause a larger amount of the burden to be more quickly exposed to the high temperature gases. These various factors include increased tumbling, increased residence time, decreased degree of filling, and increased surface exposure.

    • A rotary agitation type heat treatment apparatus includes: a cylindrical member for performing heat treatment on a material to be treated supplied inside the cylindrical member from one end thereof; a rotating unit for rotating the cylindrical member; a heating unit for heating the material supplied inside the cylindrical member; and agitation members arranged in the cylindrical member. Each agitation member has a shaft structure and two or more blades provided on the shaft structure. The cylindrical member and the agitation members are constituted of a ceramic material. The material inside the cylindrical member is heated and the cylindrical member is rotated, so that the material is heat treated while agitated by the agitation members in the cylindrical member, and discharged out from the other end thereof.

    • The present invention discloses a destructive distillation apparatus, comprising a destructive distillation drum; a feeding drum and a discharge drum, respectively located at each of two ends of the destructive distillation drum. The destructive distillation drum has a larger diameter than the feeding drum and the discharge drum. An inner wall of the destructive distillation drum is installed with rows of tripper and guiding plates, and a spacing is kept between every two adjacent rows of the tripper and guiding plates. Each row of the tripper and guiding plates are consisted of a plurality of tripper and guiding plates, and each tripper and guiding plate is formed by a flat plane and a triangle having a slope. The flat planes of each row of the tripper and guiding plates are horizontally arranged, and a pointed end of the triangle is directed toward a discharge port of the destructive distillation drum. The destructive distillation drum is placed into a combustion chamber. Outer walls of the feeding drum and the discharge drum each are mounted with supporting roller rings, which are situated onto supporting rollers. An outer wall of the discharge drum is provided with a drive gear ring, which is driven by an electric motor so as to forwards or backwards rotate with the destructive distillation drum and the feeding drum. The present invention can control and adjust processing times of the materials in the destructive distillation drum during each process flow and the whole flow, so as to control product quality.

    • An apparatus is disclosed for heating, drying or otherwise treating a raw material or a slury of raw material that is lifted and showered back down to a bed of the material while a treating gas passes through the showering material. The apparatus includes a tubular shell mounted for rotation about a slightly inclined central axis. A plurality of material lifting buckets are spaced around and attached to the outer circumference of the rotary shell to rotate with the shell. Each bucket has side wall means with a terminal lip attached to the shell in alignment with a radial opening through the shell, and an end wall opposite the lip. Reference is made to a first portion of the bucket wall means and lip. The first portion of each bucket is defined as the portion which is lowermost on the upturning side of the shell and uppermost on the downturning side of the shell. Each bucket is attached to the shell with the defined first portion of the bucket defining an acute angle with the shell and providing a material retaining pocket between the first portion and the end wall which when the bucket is on the upturning side of the shell, locates the pocket below the lip until the bucket is carried a substantial distance above a horizontal plane through the central axis of the shell. The smaller the defined acute angle the higher the bucket will travel before spilling and dumping the last of the material in the pocket to shower back into the shell.
