    • An assembly modification of an existing two-stroke single cylinder 43 CC to 52 CC combustion engine. The assembly substantially increases the horsepower of the stock two-stroke engines. The modifications include using a reed valve kit which is modified to connect to the threaded carburetor connection bolt holes on the outside of the engine casing at the intake port. A drilled excavation in the interior face of the engine cylinder to provide for an additional transfer port at the location of the fuel/air intake port is also provided. The additional transfer port has a roof with varying angles of inflection depending on the performance characteristics desired during operation of the combustion engine. The reed valve kit also provides additional configurations for larger or smaller carburetors located at the intake port of the reed valve block. The piston skirt is modified for an additional opening at the intake port for providing fuel air mixture into the crank case for additional volume intake.

    • An SAS two-cycle engine has a cylinder block that has a bore with at least one scavenging port and at least one fresh air port therein. The bore extends to a crankcase. A piston of the engine is located within the bore and separates a combustion chamber of the bore from the crank area and is movable between a first position, in closest proximity to the crank area, and a second position. The air port and the piston are configured such that air may flow from the air port into the combustion chamber of the cylinder when the piston is at the first position. In one example, the scavenging port and the air port have edges that are selectively revealed upon movement of the piston. The air port includes an upper edge, which may be contoured such that only a portion of the upper edge is exposed when the piston is at the first position.

    • The present invention pertains to the field of engine construction and relates to internal combustion engines with scavenging and more precisely to two-stroke engines. At the beginning of the exhaust stroke, the exhaust gases are expelled from the engine cylinder through inlet and outlet ports, inlet and outlet passages and slide valves into an exhaust pipe. Scavenging ports are then uncovered by an upper edge of the piston and used to feed a fresh charge into the cylinder from the crank chamber while the cylinder cavity is scavenged. After expelling the exhaust gases from the cylinder cavity, the slide valves rotate to interrupt the communication between the cylinder cavity and exhaust manifold. Upon further rotation of the slide valves, the cylinder cavity is connected with the inlet pipe through the same gas-distribution organs used for the exhaust gas outlet, i.e. the inlet and outlet ports, the inlet and outlet passages and the slide valves. A fresh charge can thus be fed into the cylinder through all the ports it comprises, whereby the cylinder of a two-strike engine may be charged without any losses in the charges and with the appropriate preliminary compression ratio.
