The tubular components have a metallic connection in a region of a surface bearing between the valve body and the cylinder.

The pneumatic engine system includes a pneumatic engine, a gas storage device, a transit gas storage tank, and a suction device. The pneumatic engine receives a compressed air to generate power output. The gas storage device stores the compressed gas and supplies the compressed gas to the pneumatic engine. The transit gas storage tank receives gas discharged from the pneumatic engine. The suction device extracts gas from the transit gas storage tank and transport the extracted gas to the gas storage device for recycle.

    • A plastic pneumatic cylinder has a cylinder housing, a piston within the housing, and a rod on which the piston is mounted. The cylinder is molded of a plastic synthetic resin and has a cylindrical bore of a predetermined diameter. The piston is molded in one piece from plastic synthetic resin, such as Delrin, in the form of a generally cylindrical body and a generally cylindrical sealing lip surronding and spaced radially from the body to seal slidably against the bore. The lip is flared out somewhat to have an edge that is of a greater diameter than the bore. The piston can be formed in single-acting or double-acting configurations. A conical return spring can be employed.

    • An air engine includes a cylinder, a piston, a gas supply and an intake-exhaust mechanism. The gas supply supplies a compressed gas to move the piston reciprocating in the cylinder. The intake-exhaust mechanism connected to the cylinder and the gas supply includes a body and an intake-exhaust assembly. The body has a chamber, and an intake channel, an exhaust channel, an inlet port and an outlet port, which communicate with the chamber. The intake-exhaust assembly, rotatable within the chamber, controls the inlet port to be connected to the intake channel, and further controls the outlet port to be connected to the exhaust channel, so that the compressed gas enters the cylinder via the inlet port and the intake channel to drive the piston. After driving the piston, the compressed gas becomes an exhaust gas, which is exhausted from the cylinder via the exhaust channel and the outlet port.
