摘要： A corner fastener (10) is used for securing a first frame member (11) to a second frame member (12). The corner fastener (10) includes a body sized to be inserted in a cavity (11c)of the first frame member (11). Locking tabs (22 and 32) have first ends (22a and 32a) operatively connected to the body and second ends (22b and 32b) free to move between an unengaged position and an engaged position. The locking means have detent engaging members (24 and 34). The body has a fastening member aperture (27a and 37a). The aperture is in general axial alignment with an opening (12k), wherein when the body is positioned in the cavity and when a fastening member (50) is inserted in the opening and the aperture, the detent engaging member is locked in a detent by the fastening member, thereby fastening the first and second frame members together.

摘要： Joint for the angular connection of a pair of hollow profile members (50) having an angular configuration corresponding to the angle of the assembled profile members (50) and comprising a slide base portion (2, 2′, 2″), a sheet metal portion (1, 1′) superimposed thereupon and a bolt (5) passing through the sheet metal portion (1, 1′) and screwed into a nut (4) mounted onto the base portion (2, 2′, 2″), wherein tightening of bolt (5) pushes upwardly extending surfaces on either side of portion (1, 1′) whereby their sharp edges indent the walls of the hollow profile members being connected. The indentation and efficient angular connection of the hollow profile members is enhanced through: a) forming of the sharp edges of the sheet metal to align an aberrant edge thereof in an indentation appropriate direction, b) appropriately orienting the sheet metal portion (1, 1′) to comply with a set of predetermined geometrical parameters and c) selectively employing varying embodiments of the slide base portion to obtain rapprochement of the points of indentation of the walls being indented.

The frame of the present invention comprises a plurality of segments, a plurality of outer retaining units and a plurality of inner retaining units. The segments are connected together to form a frame. Each outer retaining unit is disposed on the rear outer side of the juncture of each pair of neighboring segments. Each inner retaining unit is disposed on the rear inner side of the juncture of each pair of neighboring segments. In this manner, each pair of neighboring segments may be tightly joined together and the segments of the frame may be in flush with each other.

摘要： A reinforcing and mounting structure for frames, especially window frames, has an inner metal sectional insert fitting into a hollow channel frame member and frame cover elements surrounding the hollow channel frame member on at least three sides. The sectional insert is wedged into the hollow channel frame member and attached at its end faces by screws to frame elements of the frame such as a window frame. The improved mounting structure is less expensive to produce, easier to install, and achieves a considerably increased strength and loadability with the same cross-sectional dimensions relative to prior structures. The sectional insert includes two sectional insert halves (1a, 1b) arranged back-to-back in a mirror image fashion. Each sectional insert half (1a, 1b) essentially has a configuration with a U-shape cross-section with a base shank and two leg shanks. The base shanks of the two insert halves (1a, 1b) are arranged back-to-back to face each other and include pleats (4, 5) extending in the lengthwise direction and running in parallel at a spacing from one another to form together two hollow screw channels (6, 7). The screws wedge the leg shanks apart, thereby securing the insert in the hollow channel and simultaneously securing frame members to each other.

摘要： A coupling which comprises two clamping members insertable into the open-ended chamber of a first element and two locking members located between the clamping members and having hooks extending through an aperture provided in a wall of a second element. A bolt can move the locking members apart to thereby urge the clamping members against the first element and to engage the hooks with that side of the wall which faces away from the chamber. The clamping members and the locking members are provided with cams and followers or analogous tensioning devices which cooperate to urge the hooks toward the clamping members when the locking members move apart whereby the wall is pressed against the clamping members and/or against the first element.
