    • A scaffold comprises a construction assembly and a frame that is provided with a foot. The foot is in an embodiment provided with a stepped opening, a first part of which is limited by a wall which forms a supporting surface with which the frame rests on a construction member of the construction assembly when being assembled. The stepped opening comprises further a second part that lies deeper in which the construction member is situated when assembled. When coupling the frame to the construction assembly the frame is placed at an angle to the construction member. The frame is then tilted up into a vertical position in which the frame rests with its supporting surface on the construction member and pivots on the construction member. In an embodiment the foot is then moved horizontally where the supporting surface is freed from the construction member as a result of which the frame moves downwards with respect to the construction member and coupling is effected.

    • The present invention relates to a device for personal protection at such scaffolds that consist of scaffold posts (5, 6) and lying scaffold elements (7, 8, 15), coupled between the posts. The protective device consists of two protective post (26, 27) and a protective rail (32) with a variable length that extends between the protective posts. The protective rail is equipped with joint devices in their ends for a joined connection between the protective posts. The protective posts are equipped with coupling devices (28-31) for releasable connection with the scaffold. Thus the protective posts and the associated protective rail may gradually be moved between different vertical positions due to the need for protection.

    • A multi-level construction scaffold comprises a pair of H-shaped end frames spaced by horizontal guard rails. The guard rails are pivotally connected at opposed ends thereof to the end frame members, thereby allowing the guard rails to pivot in parallel when one of the frame member is lifted relative to the other. Each end frame includes a pair of uprights interconnected by a horizontal platform support located at a distance below the guard rails engaged with the end frames. In this way, the safety guard rails of a next level to be erected can be installed directly from the underlying level.

    • Method for assembly of a shoring tower (26), which can be used for fabrication or reconstruction of buildings, comprising shoring struts (27) being connected with each other and at least one deck (1)—for providing an area indented to be accessible in a shoring level (0, I, II, IV)—, wherein the deck (1) comprises at least one insertion hook (3)—for hanging up on a particularly horizontal shoring strut (27)—at a first front side (28) and an opposite second front side (29), characterized in that in a first step, a separate lifting and holding tool (20) being hookable in and out of a deck (1) is hooked in a deck (1) at a front side (28) of the deck (1), which is located within a first shoring level (I), preferably in an insertion position, which is provided for insertion respectively hanging up of a deck, defined by horizontal shoring struts (27)—particularly two opposed shoring struts (27)—in order to allow providing a horizontal area indented to be accessible, and in a second step, the lifting and holding tool (20) is hanged up on a particularly horizontal shoring strut (27) of a next higher second shoring level (II) such that the hooked in front side (28) of the deck (1) is hold by the lifting and holding tool (20) temporarily in an assembly distance (30) above the intended insertion position of the first shoring level (I) in a slanting intermediate assembly position not intended to be accessible, wherein the assembly distance (30) is particularly smaller than the distance between the first shoring level (I) and the second shoring level (II). A very easy and safe assembly and disassembly can thereby be achieved.

The safety device consists of two safety uprights (18, 19) and a guard rail (24) extending between the safety uprights. The safety uprights have coupling devices (20-23) for releasable coupling-together with the scaffold. The coupling devices interact with an upwardly facing portion of the scaffold. By means of the device, the safety uprights and the accompanying guard rail can be moved successively between different vertical positions according to safety requirements.

    • A dismantlable, multi-story facade scaffold is formed of at least four vertical support elements and floor plates and railing elements which are mounted thereto. An additional scaffold story is erected by coupling an additional vertical support element to an already existing one and pivotally attaching one end of a railing element thereto at a location above where the floor plate for the next story will be placed. The other end of that railing element is pivotally attached to another vertical support element. This other vertical support element is then raised, thereby pivotally moving the rail element relative to the respective vertical support element until the rail element is in a horizontal position and the vertical support element is in the vertical position. The other vertical support element is now attached to the upper end of a corresponding vertical support of the lower scaffold story. Thereafter the floor plate for the additional scaffold story is installed so that a worker stepping on the floor plate of the higher story is protected from the very beginning against falling off. The connections between the ends of the railing and the respective vertical support elements are disengageable when they are in relatively inclined positions and become locked when the railing is perpendicular to the support elements. The scaffold is dismantled by reversing this procedure.

    • A safety apparatus capable of installation around the top level of a scaffolding from one scaffolding level below includes a plurality of support posts and rails. The support posts each have a set of hooks for pivotably attaching rails, and are each capable of attachment to a scaffolding by workers at a lower level so that a portion of the support post extends above the scaffolding's top level work surface. Apparatus installation entails pivotably attaching rails to a first support post, which is raised to the edge of the scaffolding and attached. A second support post is then pivotably attached to the free ends of the rails and similarly raised and attached to form a barrier along one edge of the scaffolding. Auxiliary rails may be pivotably attached to an installed support post from the lower level, and the free ends of these auxiliary rails may be pivotably attached to a third support post, which may then be raised and attached to form an adjacent safety barrier. A final barrier may be erected by way of a finishing post, which may be used to attach auxiliary rails to a previously installed support post. An advantage of the apparatus is that no workers are required to be present atop an unsafe top level of a scaffolding while safety barriers are being installed.
