摘要： One embodiment is a pressure sensitive adhesive construct comprising: (a) a backing substrate; and (b) a pressure sensitive adhesive composition disposed on the backing substrate, wherein the pressure sensitive adhesive composition includes a product made from (i) at least one epoxidized vegetable oil and; (ii) a dimer acid or anhydride thereof, a trimer acid or anhydride thereof, a polymerized fatty acid or anhydride thereof, or a mixture thereof. A further embodiment is a pressure sensitive adhesive construct comprising: (A) a backing substrate; and (B) a pressure sensitive adhesive composition disposed on the backing substrate, wherein the pressure sensitive adhesive composition includes a product made from (i) at least one epoxidized vegetable oil and; (ii) a prepolymer or oligomer capped with a carboxylic acid group at both prepolymer or oligomer chain ends, or a branched prepolymer or oligomer with at least two of the prepolymer or oligomer branches and chain ends capped with a carboxylic acid group, wherein the carboxylic acid-capped prepolymer or oligomer is made from (a) a dibasic acid reacted with (b) a glycidyl or an epoxidized compound having at least two epoxy groups, a diol or polyol, a diamine, or a combination thereof.

摘要： Disclosed herein is a new use for water-stable, oil-modified, nonreactive alkyd resins. It has now been found that such resins can be used as the predominant component of a construction adhesive employed in the manufacture of disposable absorbent articles, for example. As such, the construction adhesive need not employ plasticizers, tackifiers, and conventional polymers required by hot-melt adhesives typically used as construction adhesives. Furthermore, in the manufacture of disposable absorbent articles, the construction adhesive containing a water-stable, oil-modified, nonreactive, alkyd resin does not need to be processed or applied at the high temperatures required of construction adhesives containing reactive alkyds.

摘要： A polyester-based pressure-sensitive adhesive composition comprises a polyester obtained by condensation polymerization of at least a dicarboxylic acid having a side chain and a diol, a polyether polyol, and a crosslinking agent, wherein the polyester has a weight average molecular weight of 5000 to 50000, the polyether polyol contains a polyether polyol having hydroxyl groups at only part of terminals and/or all terminals, the polyether polyol having hydroxyl groups at only part of terminals has a number average molecular weight of 100 to 1500, and the polyether polyol having hydroxyl groups at only part of terminals is contained in an amount of 1 to 35 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of the polyester.

摘要： A film may be formed from film forming compositions which comprise at least one carboxamide based coalescing solvent. These coalescing solvents impart equivalent or improved wet-scrub resistance, block resistance, gloss, dirt pick-up resistance and leveling characteristics to the films on a substrate, without contributing to total VOC levels, when replacing conventional coalescing solvents. The present invention also includes a method for forming a film comprising applying a film forming composition comprising polyunsaturated reactive carboxamides to a substrate and curing the film under ambient conditions. The coalescing carboxamide solvents are suitable for paint, latex based caulk, adhesives and floor care applications.
