    • Disclosed is an apparatus for separating a single sheet from a stack of several sheets having the same non-round shape and the same size. The apparatus comprises a container with a recess for holding the stack, a base located underneath the container having a dispensing opening, a separating element with an aperture for receiving the bottom sheet which is to be separated from the stack. The separating element is located between the container and the base and is essentially a flat disc, the thickness of which is smaller than the thickness of a single sheet of the stack. Structure is provided for the container relative to the separating element on an imaginary axis passing through the recess of the container. The dispensing opening of the base and the aperture of the separating element are capable of separating each bottom sheet from the stack and conveying the separated sheet into the dispensing opening of the base. The recess of the container and the aperture of the separating element conform essentially in shape and size to one another and are of the same shape and size of the sheets of the stack when viewed in the direction of the imaginary axis. The apparatus may be provided with at least one support element which is capable of supporting the bottom sheet of the stack and/or with a marking device for applying marks to the bottom sheet as it is separated and dispensed.

    • An apparatus for dispensing individual planar, non-circular, uniform, articles, such as image projection slides, slide mounts or the like, from a stack of such articles, comprises a delivery shaft containing an aperture having a cross-section shaped to receive the stacked articles. A dispensing arrangement, located below the shaft, includes a rotary valve supported by a base member. The rotary valve and base member each contains an aperture corresponding in shape to, and coaxial with, the delivery shaft aperture. The apertures contained respectively in the delivery shaft and base member are angularly displaced relative to each other such that a stack of articles, placed in the shaft is supported by portions of the base member exposed through the shaft aperture. The rotary valve has a thicknesss less than or equal to the thickness of each of the articles, and is rotatable by means of a lever arm for orientation of the rotary valve aperture with either the delivery shaft aperture or base member aperture. As the valve is rotated, the lowest article in the stack is also rotated toward alignment with the base member aperture. When alignment is complete, the lowest article drops through the base member aperture onto a transportation medium, such as conveyor belt.

    • A disc feeding apparatus comprises a supporting base, a pusher and an electric driving device. The pusher is driven by the electric driving device to back and forth, such that one edge of the disc is protruded out of the first protruding portion of the supporting base, and the other edge of the disc is limited by the avoiding groove of the second protruding portion and will be pushed by the pusher. Thereby, the disc will fall out of the disc feeding apparatus, thus finishing the feeding of the disc. The present invention can use the precise control electric driving device to cooperate with other structures. With the simplified structure design, the present invention can perform the disk feeding operation efficiently and precisely for a long tome.

    • An apparatus for transporting and marking a substrate, such as a collapsed corrugated cardboard carton. A feeder station is configured to receive a substantially vertically aligned stack of substrates. An advancement assembly of the feeder station successively moves the lower portions of the substrates in an inboard direction and a tensioner assembly applies a clamping force to the upper portions of the substrates. A transfer assembly engages the innermost substrate in the stack to rotate and remove the substrate from the rest of the stack and provide the substrate to a transport and marking station, which drives the substrate past a marking mechanism. The transport and marking station advances the substrate into a gravity discharge station which induces sufficient tilt in the substrate so that, upon exiting of the substrate from the transport, gravity induces the substrate to rotate and fall in a controlled fashion into a completed stack.
