    • A tank for bulk material storage and transport and method for producing same. In an embodiment, a tank is provided that includes a shell having a sidewall, a neck including a first collar, and a tube terminating in a second collar. A frustoconical cap may be secured to the first collar. A substantially conical cap may be secured to the second collar. A liner may be applied to the shell so that the liner substantially covers an interior surface of the sidewall, an interior surface of the neck, at least a portion of the first collar, an interior surface of the tube, and at least a portion of the second collar. Annular thickened segments may be trimmed to prepare the tank for use. The annular thickened segments may be located at an interior joint between the frustoconical cap and the first collar, and/or an interior joint between the substantially conical cap and the second collar. The trimming step may form first and second sealing surfaces of the liner adjacent respectively to the first and second collars. The first and second sealing surfaces may respectively be configured to substantially seal against a manway cover and an outlet cover. In a final, assembled preferred form, the frustoconical and substantially conical caps are replaced with the manway assembly and outlet cover, respectively sealed against the first and second sealing surfaces.

    • A tank rack apparatus provides a liquid storage tank. The tank includes a tank vessel having a top wall, bottom wall, side walls, and tank corners at the interface of each pair of adjacent side wall, each side wall defining a wall plane. A tank alcove provides a recess that is spaced away from a tank corner and inwardly from a tank wall plane. This inwardly spaced recess provides an alcove space having an alcove wall, an alcove top, and an alcove bottom. A sight glass gage is contained within the alcove space, below the alcove top and above the alcove bottom and inwardly of the tank wall plane. A screen occupies a position in or near the wall plane, the screen extending between a position next to alcove top and a position next to the alcove bottom.

    • A liquid storage tank and flanged valve attachment for the tank are disclosed. The storage tank includes a double bottom wall, with the inner bottom wall formed to slope downwardly from all corners of the tank toward a discharge member. Such a downward slope is provided by forming a downwardly sloping channel from each corner of the tank toward the point of discharge, and with the planar surfaces of the upper wall between the channels being also sloped accordingly. Between the two bottom walls, a structural, insulating or vibration dampening material is provided so as to make the inner and outer bottom walls integral for superior strength and vibration resistance. A flanged discharge arrangement is provided for the discharge member in one embodiment. The flanged discharge includes a casting attached to the inner and outer bottom walls, and with holes for receiving bolts to secure a valve to the casting.

    • A three-piece tank assembly including a tank, a support base, and a support liner. The tank has a conical bottom with a discharge conduit at its apex; a longitudinally corrugated antisplash filling trough integrally formed with a sidewall of the tank; and an integrally formed cover including a bunghole for providing access to the filling trough. The discharge conduit may include a flow valve and check valve. The base includes a sidewall for nesting engagement with the tank sidewall, a flat ground-engaging surface and transverse longitudinal slots for receiving the forks of a forklift. The support liner has an upstanding wall and a conical top wall for supporting the conical bottom of the tank and nesting within the support base. Mating projections and grooves in the tank and support base prevent relative movement of the three elements of the tank assembly. Each of the three elements is rotationally molded of cross-linked, high density polyethylene. Also disclosed is a method of forming an open-ended, inwardly projecting tubular member, or an open-ended outwardly projecting conduit, with or without a flange at its distal end, in a molded container.

    • A hopper system for both delivery and reclamation of bulk abrasives includes a closed, vacuum rated container with an inlet port with a hatch which is moveable between an open position for gaining access to the interior of the container and a closed position for closing the container.
